कुरुक्षेत्र में ओबामा कृष्ण अवतरित।ओबामा दिल्ली के मौर्य शेरेटन होटल में रहेंगे जो अब तक अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपतियों की अगवानी करता आया है। अपने दौरे से पहले बराक ओबामा ने नरेंद्र मोदी जमकर तारीफ की है। उन्होंने कहा है कि चायवाले का प्रधानमंत्री की कुर्सी तक पहुंचना बड़ी बात है।और मोदी की जीत से साबित हुआ है कि भारत के लोग आर्थिक विकास चाहते हैं।

अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति के हाइप्रोफाइल दौरे के मद्देनजर राजधानी में सुरक्षा के पुख्ता इंतजाम किए गए हैं। ट्विटर पर आईएसआईएस की धमकी के बाद सुरक्षा एजेंसियां सतर्क हो गई हैं।

गौर करें कि कैसी गुलाबी तस्वीर है कि एसएंडपी ने वित्त वर्ष 2015 में भारत का करेंट अकाउंट घाटा जीडीपी के 2 फीसदी से कम रहने की उम्मीद जताई है। यही नहीं रेटिंग एजेंसी एसएंडपी ने ये भी कहा है कि भारत की रेटिंग बढ़ाई जा सकती है।

एसएंडपी के मुताबिक वित्तीय घाटे में कमी मजबूत इकोनॉमी की तस्वीर पेश नहीं कर सकती है, ऐसे में मध्यम अवधि में भारत की ग्रोथ पर नजर रहेगी। हालांकि मौजूदा सरकार इकोनॉमी में जान फूंकने के लिए प्रयासरत नजर आ रही है। लेकिन ये देखना अहम होगा कि सरकार की ओर से इकोनॉमी में जान फूंकने के लिए और क्या कदम उठाए जाते हैं।

इसीलिए हर मौके पर पाकिस्तान को मदद करने वाले,भारत को तहस नहस करने का हर सामान मुहैय्या करने वाले किसी अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति के मुखारविंद पर गीता प्रवचन अक्षरशः है कि अपने भारत दौरे से पहले अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबामा ने साफ कहा है कि पाकिस्तान आतंक को पनाह देना बंद करे।

कवि प्रजाति के आत्ममुग्ध लोग सोशल स्पेस पर जनसरोकार से वास्ता इतना मूसलाधार रखते हैं कि दे दनादन सेल्फी,पारिवारिक निजी क्षणों का विज्ञापन जारी करते हुए नजर आते हैं वैसे ही जैसे हम नींद में खलल डालने की कोई न कोई शरारत कर गुजरते हैं।

दिल्ली में ओबामा की सुरक्षा के लिए जबरदस्त इंतजाम किए गए हैं

नई दिल्ली: अमेरिका के राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबामा तीन दिन के दौरे पर रविवार को भारत पहुंच रहे हैं। 26 जनवरी को गणतंत्र दिवस के मौके पर वह मुख्य अतिथि होंगे।

दिल्ली में ओबामा की सुरक्षा के लिए जबरदस्त इंतजाम किए गए हैं। भारत दौरे के दौरान ओबामा को 7 स्तर की सुरक्षा दी जाएगी।

ओबामा के आगमन से पहले अमेरिकी सुरक्षा एजेंसी की बड़ी टीम पहले ही भारत पहुंची हुई है और लगातार सुरक्षा इंतजामों पर नजर बनाए हुए है। पूरी दिल्ली को हाई अलर्ट पर रखा गया है। ओबामा की सुरक्षा के लिए दिल्ली किले में तब्दील हो गई है।

ओबामा के लिए सुरक्षा घेरे के 7 स्तर होंगे और 50,000 सुरक्षा कर्मचारी, 500 अमेरिकी सीक्रेट सर्विस एजेंट और स्पेशल फोर्स की लगातार पैनी नजर बनी रहेगी। राजपथ पर और होटल मौर्या शेरेटन में 20 से ज़्यादा अमेरिकी मेलिनोवा कुत्ते तैनात किए जाएंगे।

गणतंत्र दिवस पर नो-फ्लाई ज़ोन एरिया को 400 किमी तक बढ़ाया गया है। 71 इमारतें बंद कर दी गई हैं और जगह-जगह जवान तैनात रहेंगे। करीब 15,000 सीसीटीवी कैमरे लगाए गए हैं।

गणतंत्र दिवस परेड के दौरान तीन स्तर की सुरक्षा जांच होगी और राजपथ पर सैकड़ों पुलिस अधिकारी तैनात होंगे। राजपथ के आसपास 90 एंबुलेंस और डॉक्टर्स की टीम भी तैनात रहेगी। उत्तर और दक्षिण दिल्ली नगर निगम की इमारतें 25 और 26 जनवरी को बंद रहेंगी। यलो, ब्लू और वायलेट मेट्रो लाइन के कुछ स्टेशन 26 जनवरी को बंद रखे जाएंगे। सभी मेट्रो स्टेशनों की पार्किंग को 25 जनवरी दोपहर 2 बजे से 26 जनवरी 2 बजे तक बंद रखने का निर्देश दिया गया है।

बराक ओबामा 3 दिनों के भारत दौरे में 25 जनवरी को सुबह 10 बचे पहुंचेंगे। ओबामा सबसे पहले राष्ट्रपति भवन जाएंगे, उसके बाद महात्मा गांधी की समाधि राजघाट जाएंगे। इसके बाद ओबामा और प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के बीच द्विपक्षीय बातचीत होगी। इसी शाम ओबामा राष्ट्रपति भवन में भोज में शामिल होंगे। 26 जनवरी को गणतंत्र दिवस की परेड देखने के बाद ओबामा राष्ट्रपति भवन में उनके सम्मान में आयोजित समारोह में हिस्सा लेंगे। इसके बाद वो नरेंद्र मोदी के साथ सीईओ राउंडटेबल में शामिल होंगे। 27 जनवरी को ओबामा सिरी फोर्ट में एक टाउन हॉल को संबोधित करेंगे, जिसके बाद वो आगरा में ताजमहल देखने जाएंगे। ताजमहल देखने के बाद वो अमेरिका लौट जाएंगे।

ओबामा के साथ भारत दौरे पर आने वालों में अमेरिका के राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा सलाहकार सुजैन राइस, दिग्गज कूटनीतिज्ञ नैंसी पेलॉसी भी शामिल हैं। इसके अलावा ओबामा के प्रतिनिधिमंडल में कई दिग्गज बिजनेस लीडर और लॉ मेकर्स शामिल हैं। ओबामा के साथ भारतीय मूल की अमेरिकी सांसद अमी बेरा, अमेरिका के वाणिज्य मंत्री पेनी प्रिट्जकर और क्लाइमेट चेंज एडवाइजर जॉन पॉडेस्टा भी भारत आ रहे हैं।

ओबामा के इस दौरे के दौरान भारत और अमेरिका के सीईओ फोरम की बैठक 26 जनवरी को होगी। अमेरिका की तरफ से हनीवेल के सीईओ बैठक की अध्यक्षता करेंगे और भारत की ओर से साइरस मिस्त्री इस बैठक की अध्यक्षता करेंगे। इस बैठक में दोनों देशों के बीच आर्थिक समझौते पर चर्चा होगी। बैठक में ओबामा और मोदी भी हिस्सा ले सकते हैं। इस बैठक में मुकेश अंबानी, गौतम अदानी, विशाल सिक्का, सुनील मित्तल समेत करीब एक दर्जन सीईओ शामिल होंगे। वहीं अमेरिका की तरफ से इंदिरा नूयी, हैरोल्ड मैक्ग्रो, अजय बंगा शामिल होंगे। इस बैठक में भारत की तरफ से बाई-अमेरिका लेजिसलेशन, वीजा और आईटी कंपनियों का मुद्दा उठाया जा सकता है। वहीं अमेरिका भारत पर बाइलेटरल इन्वेस्टमेंट ट्रीटी करने का दबाव डाल सकता है। अमेरिका इनटेलैक्चुअल प्रापर्टी राइट का मुद्दा भी उठा सकता है।

3 दिन के लिए भारत आ रहे अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबाम के दौरे में 3 शहरों अजमेर, इलाहाबाद और विशाखपत्तनम को स्मार्ट सिटी बनाने के लिए समझौते हो सकते हैं। दोनों देशों के बीच टैक्स के क्षेत्र में अहम करार होने की भी संभावना है।

इसके अलावा इलेक्ट्रॉनिक क्लस्टर बनाने समेत एनर्जी और पर्यावरण के क्षेत्र में कई बड़े करार होने की उम्मीद है। ओबामा के इस दौरे के दौरान रक्षा क्षेत्र में बड़े एमओयू होने की संभावना है और दोनों देश परमाणु करार की तरफ अहम कदम बढ़ा सकते हैं।

26 जनवरी के मुख्य अतिथि के तौर पर बराक ओबामा की यात्रा से इंडस्ट्री को बडी उम्मीदें हैं। उम्मीद की जा रही है कि ओबामा की भारत यात्रा के दौरान आर्थिक और सामरिक मुद्दों से जुड़े कई बड़े करार हो सकते हैं। खासकर फार्मा सेक्टर को उम्मीद है कि पेटेंट विवाद और अमेरिका में अमेरिकी ड्रग रेगुलेटर की नीतियों के मामले में कुछ पॉजिटिव नतीजे आएंगे।

जागरण संवाददाता, देवघर : चिंतन शिविर के दूसरे दिन संघ प्रमुख मोहन भागवत ने विदेशी चिंतन एवं भारतीय चिंतन के मर्म को समझाया और मार्गदर्शन दिया। कहा कि आज जनता की अपेक्षा बढ़ गयी है, सामाजिक परिवर्तन के मकसद से गठित संघ कार्यकर्ताओं का कौशल विकास ऐसा हो कि उसमें नेतृत्व की क्षमता तो हो ही, वह लोगों की अपेक्षाओं पर खरा उतर सके। नेपोलियन बोनापार्ट का उदाहरण देते कहा कि वह विश्व विजेता तो था पर लोगों का दिल नहीं जीत सका। वहां कोई सामाजिक परिवर्तन नहीं हुआ।

वहीं भगवान राम के कार्यकाल की चर्चा करते हुए कहा कि वह जहां-जहां गए, साम्राज्य बदला वहां के हालात बदले, रामराज्य आया। दरअसल सर संघचालक के दर्शन में कार्यकर्ता निर्माण पर विशेष जोर दिया गया। उनके विकास व गुण पर ध्यान केंद्रित कराया। चिंतन शिविर में यह बात आयी कि आज समाज के सभी क्षेत्रों में कार्य हो रहा है, जनता की अपेक्षा भी उसी अनुरूप बढ़ रही है। ऐसे में वैसे कार्यकर्ताओं की भी जरूरत संघ को है, जो मानक पर खरा उतर सकें।

सर संघचालक ने माना कि आज जिम्मेवारी बढ़ गयी है। जिसे निभाने के लिए गुणवान स्वयं सेवक की जरूरत है। पूर्णकालिकों के साथ चली दिन भर की बैठक में कार्यकर्ता निर्माण का मसला ही पूरी तरह छाया रहा। उत्तर एवं दक्षिणी बिहार के अलावा झारखंड प्रांत के पूर्णकालिक तकरीबन तीन सौ से अधिक कार्यकर्ताओं ने हिस्सा लिया। समापन शनिवार को होगा जिसमें खुला सत्र होगा उसके बाद संघ कार्यालय का शिलान्यास कार्यक्रम शामिल है।

रांची : राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के सर संघचालक मोहन भागवतपांच दिनों के झारखंड दौरे पर हैं. श्री भागवत 22 से 24 जनवरी तक देवघर में रहेंगे. इस दौरान पूर्णकालिक कार्यकर्ताओं से बातचीत करेंगे. 24 जनवरी को स्वयंसेवकों के साथ बैठक करेंगे. इसी दिन रात को रांची पहुंचेंगे. दो दिनों के रांची प्रवास के दौरान श्री भागवत 25 और 26 जनवरी को स्वयंसेवकों, संघचालकों के साथ बैठक करेंगे.

आगरा नहीं जाएंगे

सूत्रों के मुताबिक, राष्ट्रपति ओबामा भारत दौरे के दौरान आगरा ताजमहल के दीदार के लिए नहीं जाएंगे। ओबामा का आगरा जाने का कार्यक्रम रद्द कर दिया गया है। ओबामा के कार्यक्रम में बदलाव किया गया है। पहले 27 जनवरी को ओबामा का आगरा जाने का कार्यक्रम था। ओबामा सउदी अरब जा सकते हैं। सउदी अरब के सुल्तान की मौत के बाद यह फैसला लिया गया है। ऐसा माना जा रहा है कि ओबामा सुल्तान के अंतिम संस्कार में शामिल हो सकते हैं।

ओबामा को रिसीव कर सकते हैं मोदी

ऐसा माना जा रहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबामा को रिसीव करने एयरपोर्ट जा सकते हैं। हालांकि प्रोटोकॉल में इसकी व्यवस्था नहीं है। यानी प्रोटोकॉल तोड़कर प्रधानमंत्री मोदी राष्ट्रपति ओबामा से अपनी दोस्ती निभा सकते हैं।

25 जनवरी की सुबह सबसे पहले राष्ट्रपति भवन में ओबामा का स्वागत होगा। इसके बाद वो राजघाट पर बापू को श्रद्धांजलि देने जाएंगे। 25 को ही हैदराबाद हाउस में पीएम मोदी और ओबामा के बीच बातचीत होगी। इसके बाद पीएम मोदी दोपहर का भोज देंगे। ओबामा राष्ट्रपति प्रणब मुखर्जी से रात्रिभोज पर मिलेंगे।

डिनर में शामिल होंगे कई दिग्गज

1.बराक ओबामा पहले ऐसे अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति हैं, जो 26 जनवरी को भारत के गणतंत्र दिवस के मौके पर मुख्य अतिथि होंगे। ओबामा से पहले जापान के प्रधानमंत्री शिंजो आबे, रूस के राष्ट्रपति व्लादिमीर पुतिन और फ्रांस के राष्ट्रपति निकोलस सरकोजी गणतंत्र दिवस पर मुख्य अतिथि रह चुके हैं।

2.बराक ओबामा जब इस यात्रा के लिए 25 जनवरी को नई दिल्ली पहुंचेंगे, तो वह अमेरिका के ऐसे पहले नेता बन जाएंगे, जो राष्ट्रपति पद पर रहते हुए भारत की दो बार यात्रा कर चुके होंगे। इससे पहले 2010 में बराक ओबामा अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति के तौर पर भारत आ चुके हैं।

हमारी इच्छा है कि हमारे पास भी मोदी जैसा नेता हो। बीबीएस को चरमपंथी सिंहली बौद्ध राष्ट्रवादी संगठन माना जाता है। यह संगठन पिछले साल श्रीलंका में मुसलमानों और ईसाइयों पर हुए खूनी हमलों के लिए कुख्यात रहा है। इसी कारण बीते राष्ट्रपति चुनाव में महिंदा राजपक्षे को अल्पसंख्यकों खासकर मुसलमानों के वोट से महरूम रहना पड़ा और शिकस्त मिली। इंडियन एक्सप्रेस से बातचीत में विथानागे ने कहा कि उनके देश में कंपनी के रूप में पंजीकृत उनका समूह भाजपा और राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ से प्रेरित है। जल्द ही उनका समूह इन भारतीय संगठनों की तर्ज पर पार्टी शुरू करेगा, ताकि श्रीलंका में बौद्ध संस्कृति के रक्षा की जी सके।

विथानागे ने कहा कि मोदी को लेकर हमारे मन में सकारात्मक धारणा है। एक नेता के तौर पर उनकी शख्सीयत की तारीफ करते हैं। अनाधिकारिक रूप से हमारे और भाजपा- राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ से निजी रिश्ते रहे हैं। उनके नेताओं से संवाद भी होता रहा है। अब हम भारतीय प्रतिपक्षियों से सक्रिय राजनीतिक वार्ता शुरू करने जा रहे हैं।

बौद्ध नेता ने कहा कि बीबीएस को धार्मिक आतंकी संगठन के रूप में प्रचारित करना वैसी स्थिति है, जिस तरह गुजरात में 2002 के दंगों के दौरान मुख्यमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को सामना करना पड़ा था। विथानागे ने कहा कि हम लोग किसी धर्म के खिलाफ नहीं हैं। हम किसी के खिलाफ नफरत नहीं फैलाते। लेकिन यह भी सही है कि श्रीलंका में बौद्ध धर्म और मूल्यों की रक्षा के लिए, कुछ सत्यों को लेकर हम कड़ी बातें भी करते हैं।

उन्होंने कहा, भारत में राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ और भारतीय जनता पार्टी जिस तरह बहुसंख्यकों के अधिकारों के लिए संघर्षरत हैं, उसी से प्रेरणा लेकर उनका संगठन बोदु बाल सेना श्रीलंका में बहुसंख्यक बौद्धों के लिए आवाज उठाता आया है। किसी दूसरे धर्म से उनका वैर नहीं है। विथानागे कहते हैं कि भारत और श्रीलंका में काफी समानताएं हैं। भारत की तरह श्रीलंका में भी बौद्धों पर धर्मांतरण का खतरा मंडरा रहा है। मुसलमानों और अन्य अल्पसंख्यकों ने धर्मांतरण का कुचक्र चला रखा है। सिंहली परिवारों में एक या दोबच्चे हैं, जबकि अल्पसंख्यक आधा दर्जन या इनसे ज्यादा बच्चे पैदाकर आबादी का संतुलन बिगाड़ रहे हैं। इनके पीछे विदेशी पैसा लगा हुआ है। हमें इसे रोकना होगा। इसीलिए मोदी और उनकी पार्टी हमारे लिए बहुत बड़ी प्रेरणा है।

बीबीएस की स्थापना 2012 में जाथिका हेला उरूमाया (जेएचयू) से अलग हुए एक कट्टरपंथी धड़े ने की थी। संगठन का कहना है कि बौद्ध धर्म की रक्षा के लिए इसका गठन हुआ। सेना का मुख्यालय कोलंबो के बुद्धिस्ट कल्चरल सेंटर में है जिसका उद्घाटन 2011 में राजपक्षे ने किया था।

श्रीलंका में बीबीएस को आम तौर पर धार्मिक पुलिस के तौर पर भी देखा जाता है। यह संगठन अल्पसंख्यक वोट बैंक की सियासत पर सवाल उठाता आया है। बीबीएस का आरोप है कि अल्पसंख्यकों की ओर से चलाए जा रहे कारोबार में अवैध विदेशी पैसा लगा हुआ है। सेना का आरोप है कि देश के अल्पसंख्यक खासकर मुसलमान और ईसाई धर्मांतरण के कुचक्र में लगे हैं। दूसरी ओर बीबीएस पर आरोप है कि वह बहुसंख्यकों को भड़काकर मस्जिदों और चर्चों पर हमले करवाता है।

संगठन ने अपने गठन के बादएक साल में ही ईसाइयों के खिलाफ अपना अभियान चलाकर कुख्याति हासिल की थी। जून 2014 में बीबीएस ने मुसलमानों की ज्यादा आबादी वाले इलाकों को निशाना बनाया। इस घटना में चार लोग मारे गए थे। स्थानीय अखबारों में छपी खबरों में बताया गया कि बीबीएस से जुड़े लोगों ने कई जगह पेट्रोल बम फेंके। कुछ कस्बों में मुसलमानों के घरोें, कारोबार को निशाना बानाया गया। देश की आबादी में मुसलमान दस फीसद हैं। इस हिंसा पर अमेरिका और यूरोपीय संघ ने चिंता जताई थी और बीबीएस की गतिविधियों पर चेतावनी दी थी।

बजरंग दल 'हिंदू फोर्स' बनाने की तैयारी में

विश्व हिंदू परिषद ( वीएचपी) की युवा शाखा बजरंग दल देश भर में 'हिंदू फोर्स' खड़ी करने की तैयारी में है। इसकी शुरुआत अप्रैल से होगी। बजरंग दल हर जिले में शक्ति आराधना केंद्र स्थापित करेगा, जहां युवाओं को लाठी चलाने से लेकर बंदूक चलाने तक की ट्रेनिंग दी जाएगी।

16-17 मार्च को चर्चा करेंगे

सूत्रों के मुताबिक कुछ दिन पहले बजरंग दल के प्रतिनिधिमंडल की बैठक में यह तय किया गया। बजरंग दल की 16-17 मार्च को रायपुर में होने वाली राष्ट्रीय मीटिंग में इस पर विस्तृत चर्चा की जाएगी। बजरंग दल ने तय किया है कि अप्रैल में हनुमान जयंती से देश भर में हिंदू फोर्स तैयार करने की शुरुआत की जाएगी। इसमें हर जिले में 'शक्ति आराधना केंद्र' बनाए जाएंगे। यह अखाड़ों की तरह होंगे।

बनेंगे अखाड़े

हर जिले में कम से कम 200 गज प्लॉट पर यह अखाड़ा होगा। बड़ी जगहों पर बड़ा अखाड़ा बनाया जाएगा। बजरंग दल के एक नेता के मुताबिक इन शक्ति आराधना केंद्र में युवाओं को लाठी और बंदूक चलाने की ट्रेनिंग दी जाएगी। इसका मकसद हिंदुत्व के नाम पर बड़ी शक्ति खड़ी करना है। शक्ति आराधना केंद्र में हनुमान की 2-3 फुट ऊंची मूर्ति लगाई जाएगी। उन्होंने बताया कि मूर्ति के लिए जयपुर में ऑर्डर दिया जा रहा है। यहीं तैयार मूर्ति सब जगह भेजी जाएगी।

युवकों में आएंगे अच्छे संस्कार

बजरंग दल नेता ने बताया कि अब तक हम 'मिलन केंद्र' चलाते रहे हैं, लेकिन पहली बार इस तरह शक्ति आराधना केंद्र बनाएं जाएंगे। यहां हनुमान चालीसा के पाठ के साथ ट्रेनिंग की शुरूआत होगी। उन्होंने कहा कि यह पहल युवाओं के पैरंट्स को भी अच्छी लगेगी क्योंकि इससे ड्रग्स और दूसरी बुराइयों की तरफ जा रही युवा ताकत को एक दिशा मिलेगी। साथ ही हिंदुत्व का प्रचार होगा और हिंदुत्व सिर्फ एक विचार के तौर पर सामने नहीं आएगा, बल्कि अहम शक्ति बनेगा।

उन्होंने बताया कि रायपुर में होने वाली मीटिंग में इस पर विस्तार से बात की जाएगी, इसका फाइल रूप तैयार होगा और वहीं से देश भर में शक्ति आराधना केंद्र खोलने का ऐलान किया जाएगा। बजरंग दल नेता के मुताबिक हिंदू फोर्स खड़ी करने का एक मकसद यह भी है कि जब भी हिंदुत्व को खतरा महसूस होगा तो यह शक्ति काम आएगी।

अहमदाबाद में भी सोने की खरीदारी के लिए इधर-उधर दुकानों में जाने की जरूरत नहीं होगी क्योंकि वहां खुलने जा रहा है ज्वेलरी मॉल। दुबई और गुड़गांव के गोल्ड सूक के तर्ज पर अहमदाबाद में भी अब ज्वेलरी मॉल खुलने वाला है। इस्कॉन ग्रुप शहर के सैटेलाइट इलाके में मॉल बना रहा है। 8 फ्लोर वाले इस मॉल में 450 दुकानें और ऑफिस होंगे। कंपनी को देश-विदेश से अब तक 45 फीसदी बुकिंग मिल चुकी है।

मॉल को दुबई के गोल्ड सूक की ही तरह ब्रिटिश डिजाइन के मुताबिक बनाया जा रहा है। इसमें शॉप, ऑफिस के साथ ही लॉकर और इंश्योरेंस की सुविधा भी मिलेगी। साथ ही, फूड कोर्ट के लिए भी करीब 5000 वर्ग फीट का एरिया रखा गया है।

दरअसल, अहमदाबाद के मानेक चौक और सी जी रोड के ज्वेलर्स का इंटरेस्ट सैटेलाइट एरिया में बन रहे इस मॉल में इसलिए ज्यादा है क्योंकि इन दोनों इलाकों में पार्किंग सबसे बड़ी समस्या है। इसी बात को ध्यान में रखते हुए इस्कॉन ग्रुप ने अपने इस मॉल में 900 गाड़ियों और करीब 3000 टू-व्हीलर्स के पार्किंग के लिए दो फ्लोर अलग से बनाए हैं।

The Uber rape victim is "very upset" and "surprised" at the "audacity" of the cab-hailing company which copied her on an email it sent to its customers on Friday, saying it was "relaunching" operations in Delhi.

The 25-year-old woman's American lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, who is assisting her in an effort to file a suit against Uber in a US court, told The Indian Express that the victim and her family "are very upset that they were sent an email from Uber, and that Uber has come back to Delhi without a consultation process with them".

He said they were "surprised" that Uber had returned to Delhi so soon after the incident and had the "audacity" to send an email directly to the victim. Refusing to discuss details of his legal strategy, Wigdor said they were taking appropriate steps "in an attempt to ensure the safety of future Uber customers".

"We had made it clear to Uber that the victim wanted to be part of a consultation process regarding safety procedures to ensure that no other person becomes a victim at the hands of an Uber driver. Most unfortunately, this has not happened and we have no confidence that the touted 'India-specific safety measures' will prevent another attack," he explained.

A day after applying for a fresh licence under the modified rules of the 2006 Radio Taxi Scheme, Uber sent emails to its customers in Delhi, claiming, "We're back, to serve you and get you moving once again."

The US-based online service was barred from plying in the city days after one of its passengers was sexually assaulted by a driver last month. The decision was also notified via a public notice issued by the transport department on December 8. Responding to a petition filed by the operator, the Delhi High Court had refused to lift the ban.

On Thursday, however, Uber applied for a fresh licence, not under its own name but through an Indian subsidiary named Resource Experts India Private Limited. The company has even offered 25 per cent discount to passengers.

Sources in the transport department said the company could not resume services and it would be a violation of rules. "Applying for a licence does not mean it has been granted. Also, applying under the name of another subsidiary company would mean that when passengers book themselves on Uber, the company would not take responsibility in case of any untoward incident because the licence for operation (in case it is granted) would be in the name of another company," said a source.

"Till we get an official confirmation that a valid licence has been granted to Uber to operate in Delhi, the service will be considered illegal and will not be allowed to operate," said Special Commissioner of Police (Traffic) continued…

Mumbai,Delhi,Kolkata,Lucknow,Hyderabad to Uttarakhand,Indian geography and demography across identities seem to be in resistance at last as Indian Left and democratic and Secular Solidarity screams aloud!Here it is,India's communist parties on Saturday held a protest march and burned an effigy of President Barack Obama on the eve of his New Delhi visit, voicing fears of a US domination in economic, nuclear and defense ties with India!

Thirteen Left parties, including the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M), Communist Party of India (CPI), Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP), All India Forward Bloc (AIFB) and Socialist Unity Centre of India (SUCI), on Saturday organized a march from Esplanade area to the American Center in Kolkata to protest against US President Barack Obama's visit to India.

Accusing the Narendra Modi government of compromising India's sovereignty by inviting Barack Obama for the Republic Day function, several Left parties Saturday staged a rally here opposing the US president's visit.

The rally was attended by Left Front chairperson and Communist Party of India-Marxist politburo member Biman Basu, Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal assembly Surjya Kanta Mishra and CPI state secretary Manju Kumar Majumdar.

"The decision (to invite Obama) makes it clear that the Modi government has adapted an extreme right-wing policy. They have chosen a path that will compromise our country's sovereignty," Bose said at the rally.

"This government is attempting to make India a US ally and we oppose it," he added.

Bedsides the Left parties, a protest march was also organised by the Saho Nagarik Mancha, a civil society organization.

"Whether it's the UPA or the NDA governments, all have become agents of monopolist capitalism. We strongly criticise the invitation to Obama," said Prasun Bhowmik, poet and convenor of the Mancha.

Workers and supporters of Left parties - CPI (ML), CPI (MP), CPI, Forward Bloc and SUCI (C) - held protest marches and demonstrations across the state against the visit of US president Barack Obama to India.

Shouting slogans like 'Obama Go Back' they organised a procession from Parivartan Chowk to GPO in the state capital.

At a meeting thereafter they criticized the decision of Prime Minister Modi to invite the US president on the Indian Republic Day, terming it an assault on all democratic values.

"Head of a country which is responsible of crushing democratic values, as a chief guest on Indian Republic Day is most unfortunate" said Arun Kumar, state office secretary of CPI-ML.

A march was also taken out in Allahabad under the leadership of CPI-ML state secretary Ramji Rai where protesters raised slogans against the visiting US president. Similar protests were also held in Ghazipur, Deoria, Bhadohi and Sonebhadra.

Let us declare aloud that we would not tolerate any move to make in America on Indian soil.

In fact,the Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Saturday held a nationwide protest against the upcoming visit by US President Barack Obama, stating that the America seeks to change India`s economic, security and strategic policies for its own benifits.

President Obama, who will arrive in the national capital on January 25 to take part in this year`s Republic Day celebrations on the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will be the first US president to attend the Republic Day celebrations.

Obama, who visited India in 2010, will also be the first US president to visit the country twice while in office.

The Polit Bureau of Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement:

Obama Visit: No Surrender to US Pressures

The Obama visit is being preceded by various moves to appease US interests by the Modi government.

Firstly, the Modi government is negotiating with the US authorities to find ways to circumvent the Civil Nuclear Liability Act passed by the Indian Parliament.  The right to recourse for suppliers liability has been objected to by the United States.  The BJP had supported this law in Parliament. Now under US pressure, this elementary safeguard for the people in the case of a nuclear accident is sought to be diluted.  The Polit Bureau demands that the letter and spirit of the law be respected and no step should be taken to pass the burden on to the Indian government or other entities.

The Polit Bureau reiterates its strong opposition to the renewal of the Defence Framework Agreement for another ten years.  The Framework Agreement signed in 2005 contained provisions such as  the Logistics Support Agreement and the Communications and Information Security Memorandum of Agreement (CISMOA) which would have made India a military ally of the US on par with its NATO allies.  The Modi government should desist from signing the Defence Agreement  which is against the interests of the country and its strategic autonomy.

The US is pressing India to dilute its patent regime and Intellectual Property Rights regulation.  This is meant to facilitate US multinational drug companies making super profits in India and will result in drugs becoming more expensive for the people.  The Obama visit should not result in any concessions to the US in this regard as also giving any special treatment to US investments with regard to tax liabilities.

Communist Party of India (CPI) activists staged a demonstration near the U. S. Consulate in Hyderabad protesting the visit of US President Barack Obama.

CPI senior leader K. Narayana and party MLA Gunda Mallesh accompanied by party workers carrying red flags tried to proceed towards the Consulate when they were stopped by the large posse of police personnel. After initial resistance, the protestors were bundled into waiting police vans and taken away.

Vehicular traffic on the busy Paradise-Begumpet stretch was thrown out of gear for some time. Police had a tough time handling the demonstrators. Adding to their woes were a large number of Airtel mobile customers making a beeline to the Customer Care office close to the US Consulate to make enquiries after the mobile telephony services was disrupted for over six hours.

Activists of the CPI, Communist Party of India (Marxist), SUCI, Forward Block, RSP and CPI (ML-Liberation) burnt an effigy of the US President at Basheerbagh Press Club protesting the latter's visit. The left parties in the city had given a call to hold protest demonstrations.

Left parties have called for a protest day on January 24 against the visit of US President Barack Obama.

While some splinter parties and trade unions such as the CPI ML (New Democracy), CPI ML (Red Star) and All India Federation of Trade Unions are planning a demonstration at Jantar Mantar, mainstream Left parties have invited participation in day-long meetings and dharnas with slogans such as "Halt US aggression", "Stop interference in India's domestic matters" and "Stop US-India strategic collaboration".

In a joint statement, six Left parties — the CPI, CPI(M), CPI(ML)-Liberation, All India Forward Block, Students Unity Centre of India SUCI(C) and Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) — said the US President has been invited to be the chief guest at the Republic Day at a juncture when the BJP and its government at the Centre have "unleashed the forces of Hindutva which threaten the secular and democratic values of the Indian Republic".

"It is a supreme irony that the day which symbolises India's independence and sovereignty is being graced by the head of a country which has done the most to assault and destroy the sovereignty of many countries around the world.

"(US) President Obama himself is responsible for the aggression in Libya and for the rerun of bombing and sending troops back to Iraq. The US is doing everything to destroy Syria as a national entity," said the statement.

The Left parties further said the protest against Obama's visit has been organised because the US is targeting and destabilising governments and countries in West Asia by military interventions, such as in Iraq, Libya and Syria.

It is also the patron and staunch supporter of Israel, which "occupies Palestinian land and Arab territories and subjects the Palestinian people to colonial oppression".

Foreign monopoly

"The BJP government is pursuing a pro-US foreign policy which is contrary to an independent non-aligned foreign policy. This is being done in the interests of Indian and foreign monopoly capital," said the Left parties.

"The Left parties strongly protest the decision to renew the India-US Defence Framework Agreement for another 10 years. This is a pact which will yoke India to American military strategy in Asia," said the statement.

CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury said in an editorial of his party's mouthpiece People's Democracy that the invitation to Obama conveys a strong signal to the world that India is cementing its position as a 'subordinate ally' of US imperialism.

गौरेतलब है कि भारत दौरे के आखिरी दिन अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबामा ने एक बार फिर कहा कि वो भारत के साथ रिश्तों को मजबूत बनाना चाहते हैं। दिल्ली के सिरीफोर्ट ऑडिटोरियम में करीब 2000 लोगों को संबोधित करते हुए उन्होंने भारत के साथ न्यूक्लियर एनर्जी के अलावा सोलर और विंड जैसी क्लीन, रिन्यूएबल एनर्जी में सहयोग बढ़ाने की बात कही।

गौरेतलब है कि अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति के भारत दौरे पर दोनों देशों के बीच डिफेंस और न्यूक्लियर सेक्टर में बड़े समझौते हुए हैं। दोनों पक्षों में  मैरीटाइम सुरक्षा में सहयोग बढ़ाने पर सहमती के साथ-साथ सैनिकों की केमिकल, बायोलॉजिकल हथियारों से सुरक्षा के लिए किट तैयार करने पर भी सहमति हुई है। डिफेंस फ्रेमवर्क एग्रीमेंट को 10 साल के लिए बढ़ा दिया गया है और हथियारों के संयुक्त विकास पर भी सैद्धांतिक सहमति बनी है। इस करार के तहत यूएवी यानि ड्रोन, सी- 130जे के पुर्जों और स्मार्ट पावर सिस्टम का भी संयुक्त उत्पादन होगा। इस के अलावा दोनों देशों ने आतंकवाद पर खुफिया जानकारियां साझा करने के लिए भी करार किया है।

इसी अभूतपूर्व कामयाबी के मद्देनजर डाउ कैमिकल्स के वकील वित्त मंत्री अरुण जेटली ने एक बार फिर इस कारोबारी साल में 4.1 फीसदी का वित्तीय घाटे का लक्ष्य हासिल करने का भरोसा जताया है। उन्होंने कहा कि इस समय फॉरेक्स रिजर्व बेहतर स्थिति में है।वित्त मंत्री के मुताबिक फिस्कल घाटे का लक्ष्य हासिल करने में दिक्कत नहीं होगी क्योंकि फॉरेक्स रिजर्व काफी बेहतर स्थिति में है। डॉलर के मुकाबले रुपए में कम गिरावट आई है और डॉलर के मुकाबले दूसरी करेंसी में काफी गिरावट देखी गई है। अरुण जेटली ने करेंट अकाउंट घाटा भी बेहतर रहने की उम्मीद जताई है।

जाहिर है।क्योंकि अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबामा ने भारत में चार अरब डॉलर के कारोबारी निवेश का ऐलान किया है।

ओबामाकृष्ण ने कहा कि दोनों देश मिलकर विकास और समृद्धि की दिशा में आगे बढ़ सकते हैं। ओबामाकृष्ण ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी सुदामा की मौजूदगी में भारत-अमेरिका बिजनेस समिट को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि दोनों देशों के बीच व्यापार में अपार संभावनाएं हैं, जिनका अब तक पर्याप्त इस्तेमाल नहीं किया गया है।

उन्होंने कहा कि उनका देश भारत में चार अरब डॉलर का कारोबारी निवेश करेगा। ओबामा ने कहा कि हरित ऊर्जा के क्षेत्र में दो अरब डॉलर का निवेश किया जायेगा।

इसीलिए तो डाउ कैमिकल्स के वकील वित्त मंत्री अरण जेटली ने कहा है  कि चालू वित्त वर्ष के लिए राजकोषीय घाटे का लक्ष्य प्राप्त हो जाने की संभावना है और विनिर्माण क्षेत्र में सुधार के संकेत दिख रहे हैं। जेटली ने कहा 'हमारी मुद्रा उन दो वैश्विक मुद्रा में शामिल जो अमेरिकी डालर की ताकत का मुकाबला किया। ज्यादातर वैश्विक मुद्राएं दबाव में हैं।' वित्त मंत्री ने कहा कि पिछला एक सप्ताह बड़ी सीख भरा रहा 'पिछले कुछ दिनों में मुझ लगा है कि सामान्यत: भारत के लिए हर बात ठीक हो रही है।'

डाउ कैमिकल्स के वकील उन्होंने कहा 'पिछले दो-तीन साल से निराशा पैदा करने वाली नरमी के बाद अब अचानक लगता है कि हमारी वृद्धि तेज हो सकती है।

बहरहाल अर्थव्यवस्था का कच्चा चिट्ठा यह है कि ओबामाकृष्ण के गीता  प्रवचन के मध्य  हफ्ते के शुरुआती कारोबार के दौरान रुपए की शुरुआत कमजोरी के साथ हुई है। डॉलर के मुकाबले रुपया 8 पैसे की गिरावट के साथ 61.50 के स्तर पर खुला।

बताया गया है कि आयातकों की ओर से डॉलर की मांग बढ़ने के कारण रुपए की विनिमय दर में गिरावट आई हालांकि घरेलू शेयर बाजार में तेजी के रुख से इसमें ज्यादा गिरावट नहीं आ सकी। फॉरेक्स बाजार में इससे पिछले कारोबारी सत्र के दौरान डॉलर के मुकाबले रुपया 28 पैसे मजबूत होकर 61.42 रुपये प्रति डालर पर बंद हुआ था जो आज के शुरुआती कारोबार में 9 पैसे कमजोर होकर 61.51 रुपये प्रति डॉलर पर आ गया।

ओबामाकृष्ण ने कहा कि अमेरिका जनधन योजना को लागू करने, स्मार्ट सिटी बनाने में भी भारत की मदद करेगा। ओबामा ने संयुक्त राष्ट्र में भारत की स्थायी सदस्यता का भी समर्थन किया। साथ ही ओबामा ने कहा कि दोनों देशों के सामने एक जैसी चुनौतियां, लिहाजा भारत और अमेरिका को आतंकवाद से मिलकर लड़ना होगा।

तो इसी के मध्य  भारत और अमेरिका के बीच द्विपक्षीय व्यापार को 2025 तक 500 अरब डॉलर तक पहुंचाने के लिए उद्योग जगत ने दोनों देशों से कारोबार को आसान बनाने के उपायों पर जोर देने को कहा है। मौका था प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबामा के साथ भारत-अमेरिका सीईओ फोरम की बैठक का। इस दौरान भारतीय उद्योगपतियों ने अमेरिकी कंपनियों के तीसरे देशों में निवेश पर प्रतिबंध, बौद्धिक संपदा अधिकारों और वीजा जैसे कई मुद्दे उठाए। दोनों नेताओं ने फोरम को आश्वस्त किया कि उनकी सरकारें द्विपक्षीय व्यापार को बढ़ाने के लिए मिलकर काम कर रही हैं।

बराक ओबामा ने सिरीफोर्ट ऑडिटोरियम में संबोधन के दौरान बीच-बीच में हिंदी बोलकर लोगों का दिल जीतने की भी कोशिश की। हिंदी में नमस्ते के साथ उन्होंने अपने भाषण की शुरुआत की। भारतीयों की खातिरदारी से खुश होकर हिंदी में धन्यवाद दिया। साथ ही जाते-जाते जय हिंद बोलना नहीं भूले।

गौरतलब है कि अबाध पूंजी प्रवाह जारी रखने के लिए शत प्रतिशत  हिंदुत्व की यह बिजनेस फ्रेंडली सरकार कुछ भी करेगी और निवेशको की आस्था चूंकि धर्म आस्था और धर्म की राजनीति से बड़ी है तो उद्योग जगत की सुनवाई धकाधक करते हुए चकाचक बोल दिहिस कल्कि अवतार किफैसला लेने की प्रक्रिया को तेज और धारदार बनाने के लिएप्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय (पीएमओ) खुद बड़ी परियोजनाओं पर नजर रखेगा।  

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने निवेशकों को आश्वासन दिया कि प्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय भारी निवेश वाली बड़ी परियोजनाओं की खुद निगरानी करेगा।

पीएम ने निवेशकों को खुले माहौल का आश्वासन दिया, जिससे निवेश करने में आसानी होगी और कारोबार को फायदा पहुंचाएगा। मोदी ने इन बड़ी परियोजनाओं की प्रगति पर निजी रूप से नजर रखने की एक भारतीय-अमेरिकी फोरम के प्रस्ताव को स्वीकार कर लिया और यह वादा किया। परियोजनाओं की निगरानी करने के लिए यूपीए शासनकाल में जिस निगरानी ग्रुप का गठन हुआ था, वह कैबिनेट सचिन के अधीन है और कई लंबित परियोजनाओं को मंजूरी दिलाने में मदद की है। लेकिन, निवेशक इस बात को तरजीह देंगे कि प्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय बड़ी परियोजनाओं की खुद से निगरानी करे जिससे कि फैसला लेने की प्रक्रिया में तेजी आए। मैन्युफैक्चरिंग सेक्टर में जान डालने और ओवरऑल ग्रोथ को बढ़ावा देने के लिए लंबित परियोजनाओं को आगे बढ़ाना बहुत जरूरी है।

मोदी सरकार ने रिफॉर्म की प्रक्रिया फिर से शुरू करने और भारत में बिजनस करने की सहूलियत बढ़ा कर ग्लोबल इनवेस्टर समुदाय को काफी पॉजिटिव मेसेज दिया है। दावोस में टॉप बिजनस लीडर्स के साथ बातचीत में मैंने पाया कि भारत को लेकर मूड काफी सकारात्मक और शानदार है। आईटी और कंज्यूमर प्रॉडक्ट्स स्पेस में अमेरिकी कंपनियों का पहले से भारत में बड़ा बिजनस चल रहा है।

भारतीय बिजनस हाउस अमेरिका को सबसे बड़े एक्सपोर्ट मार्केट के तौर पर देखते हैं। इनमें आईटी/आईटीईएस, फार्मा, गारमेंट्स और जूलरी जैसे सेक्टर शामिल हैं। दोनों देशों के लॉन्ग टर्म स्ट्रैटेजिक गठबंधन की तरफ से बढ़ने से रिश्तों में और गहराई आएगी।

जहां तक प्रधानमंत्री मोदी के 'मेक इन इंडिया' अभियान की बात है, तो हमारे मैन्युफैक्चरिंग सेक्टर को रिवाइव करने में अमेरिकी कंपनियां अहम रोल अदा कर सकती हैं। खासतौर पर डिफेंस और हाई ऐंड टेक्नॉलजी सेक्टर में काफी फायदा हो सकता है। चूंकि भारत डिजिटल ग्रोथ के चरण में प्रवेश करने की तैयारी मंा है, लिहाजा इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और टेलिकॉम इक्विपमेंट में भी बिजनस का बड़ा मौका है।

दोनों देशों के लिए न्यूक्लियर और रिन्यूवेबल एनर्जी, फाइनैंशल सर्विसेज सेक्टरों में भी मौके हैं। मुझे उम्मीद है कि भारत-अमेरिका उस ऐतिहासिक परमाणु समझौते को आगे बढ़ाएंगे, जिसे तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री मनमोहन सिंह और अमेरिका के तत्कालीन राष्ट्रपति जॉर्ज बुश ने शुरू किया था। सिलिकॉन वैली आईटी और टेक्नॉलजी इनोवेशन का मक्का है और अपने 'डिजिटल इंडिया' विजन के लिए सॉल्यूशंस बनाने की खातिर भारत नई अमेरिकी कंपनियों की मदद ले सकता है।

हालांकि, भारतीय आईटी कंपनियों की तरफ से ज्यादा वीजा की मांग, ट्रेड, पेटेंट और इमिशन जैसे मुद्दे हैं, जिन पर दोनों देशों को मतभेद दूर करने की जरूरत है। बहरहाल, पॉजिटिव रफ्तार को देखते हुए इन तमाम मसलों का हल निकाले जाने की उम्मीद जताई जा सकती है।

ओबामा दौरे में अमेरिका से क्लीन एनर्जी पर कई मोर्चों पर सहमति हुई। इस बीच दिलचस्प बात यह है कि अमेरिका में ज्यादा चर्चा क्लाइमेट डील को लेकर है, जबकि भारत में न्यूक्लिर डील का शोर है। वाइट हाउस ने भी दोनों देशों के बीच ऐटमी, सामरिक और अन्य मसलों पर हुई सहमति से ज्यादा इसे तवज्जो दी है। दोनों देशों ने ओबामा की भारत यात्रा के दौरान एनर्जी सिक्यॉरिटी, क्लीन एनर्जी और क्लाइमेट चेंज के प्रभावों से निपटने के लिए पांच साल के सहमति-पत्र पर दस्तखत करने का फैसला किया।

सहमति के मेन पॉइंट्स -अमेरिका ने कहा है कि वह ओजोन लेयर को नुकसान पहुंचाने वाले हाइड्रो क्लोरोफ्लोरोकार्बन्स से मुक्ति पाने में भारत को हर तरह का सहयोग देगा। इन्वायरनमेंट फ्रेंडली टेक्नॉलजी मुहैया कराने में मदद करेगा।

- वाइट हाउस का कहना है कि वह क्लीन एनर्जी के क्षेत्र में रिसर्च के लिए भारत के साथ सहयोग करेगा। इसके लिए साढ़े 12 करोड़ डॉलर की एक योजना तय की गई है। इसके तहत सोलर पावर, एनर्जी एफिसेंट इमारतें बनाने और अडवांस बायोफ्यूल के विकास पर काम किया जाएगा।

- अमेरिका इस साल गर्मियों तक अपना एक फील्ड इनवेस्टमेंट ऑफिसर भारत में नियुक्त करेगा। यह अधिकारी क्लीन एनर्जी के क्षेत्र में भारत में अमेरिकी निजी निवेश बढ़ाने का काम करेगा। अमेरिका का इरादा भारत के क्लीन एनर्जी मिशन के लिए कम से कम एक अरब डॉलर जुटाने का है।

- भारत की एयर क्वॉलिटी को दुरुस्त करने में सहयोग और टेक्नॉलजी मिलेगी।

- इंडस्ट्री, कोल बेस्ड पावर प्लांट्स और हैवी ड्यूटी वीइकल्स के प्रदूषण से बचने के लिए अमेरिका क्लीन फ्यूल, फ्यूल के पूरे इस्तेमाल के लिए टेक्नॉलजी विकसित करने का भी काम करेगा।

- ऐसे उपकरण बनाने पर काम करेंगे, जिनको ग्रिड की बिजली की जरूरत न पड़े। इससे बिजली क्षेत्र पर दबाव कम होगा और पलूशन में कमी आएगी।

अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबामा अपने तीन दिवसीय दौरे के आखिरी दिन दिल्ली के सीरी फोर्ट ऑडिटोरियम में मंत्रमुग्ध कर देने वाला भाषण दिया। उन्होंने स्वामी विवेकानंद के अंदाज में भारतीयों को 'मेरे भारतीय भाइयों और बहनों' के रूप में संबोधित करके मन मोह लिया।

उन्होंने कहा कि उनके गृहनगर शिकागो ने सदी भर पहले स्वामी विवेकानंद का स्वागत किया था जो हिंदुत्व और योग के प्रचार के लिए भारत आए थे। आज मैं कहना चाहता हूं, 'मेरे भारतीय भाइयों और बहनों।' इसके बाद सदन देर तक तालियों की गड़गड़ाहट से गूंज उठा। अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति ने अपने भाषण में दोनों देशों के रिश्तों, उसकी समानताओं, लोकतांत्रिक मूल्यों और भविष्य की संभावनाओं पर विस्तार से बात की।

मीडिया खबर मुताबिक  दिल्ली के सिरी फोर्ट ऑडिटोरियम में अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबामा का भाषण 'धन्यवाद' से शुरू हुआ। ओबामा ने गणतंत्र दिवस की परेड के लिए उन्हें भारत आमंत्रित करने के लिए आभार व्यक्त किया। उन्होंने कहा कि भारत में दूसरी बार उन्हें आमंत्रित करने के लिए वह शुक्रगुजार हैं। ओबामा ने अपने संबोधन में शाहरूख खान, मैरीकॉम, कैलाश सत्याथी और मिल्खा सिंह का भी जिक्र किया।

ओबामा ने अपने संबोधन में भारत और अमेरिका के रिश्तों की मजबूती पर जोर दिया। वह बोले कि आने वाले समय में भारत और अमेरिका के संबंध और बेहतर होंगे। उन्होंने कहा, 'भारत और अमेरिका के बीच की साझेदारी इस सदी के लिए यादगार होगी। वैसे हमारी साझेदारी आज की नहीं है। सौ सालों से भी पहले अमेरिका ने भारत के स्वामी विवेकानंद को स्वागत किया था। अमेरिका में सभी विवेकानंद से बहुत प्रभावित हुए थे।'

इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर के क्षेत्र में करेंगे सहयोग

भारत को अमेरिका के समान बताते हुए ओबामा ने कहा, 'भारत और अमेरिका कुछ ऐसे देशों की पंक्ति में शामिल हैं जो चांद और मंगल तक पहुंच चुके हैं। भारत और अमेरिका जैसी लोकतांत्रिक शक्तियां यदि एक साथ आ जाती हैं, तो यह विश्व और सुरक्षित हो जाएगा। इसके लिए अमेरिका सदा भारत के साथ खड़ा है। अगर भारत इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर के क्षेत्र में कुछ बेहतर करना चाहे, तो हम वो पहले देश हैं, जो मदद के लिए तैयार हैं।'

न्यूक्लियर हथियार मुक्त विश्व की कल्पना

विश्व में परमाणु अप्रसार के मुद्दे पर अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति ने कहा कि भारत ने एशिया महाद्वीप में जो अहम भूमिका निभाई है अमेरिका उसकी सराहना करता है। हम एक ऐसे विश्व की कल्पना करते हैं जिसमें न्यूक्लियर हथियार न हों। यह हमारा लक्ष्य भी है कि ऐसे विश्य का निर्माण करें जिसमें किसी देश के पास न्यूक्लियर हथियार न हो।'

ओबामा ने की हंसी-ठिठोली

इस बीच ओबामा ने फिल्म डीडीएलजे का डायलॉग, 'बड़े-बड़े देशों में.....' बोलने की कोशिश की। मगर वह बीच में इसे भूल गए। हंसी-ठिठोली के बीच उन्होंने कहा कि आप समझ गए होंगे कि मैं क्या कहना चाहता हूं। मुझे पूरा भरोसा है कि भारत अमेरिका का बेस्ट पार्टनर रह सकता है। जीवन को बेहतर बनाने में अमेरिका भारत को पूरा सहयोग देगा।' साथ ही उन्होंने यह भ्ाी कहा कि वे अपनी पत्न्ाी से अक्सर सलाह लेते हैं। उन्होंने माना कि उनकी तरक्की में मिशेल की बड़ी भूमिका रही है।

नारी शक्ति की जिक्र

नारी शक्ति का जिक्र करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि इसी से देश तरक्की करता है। महिलाएं काम करती हैं तो परिवार तरक्की करता है। ओबामा के अनुसार भारतीय परिवारों में मां की भूमिका अहम होती है। इसके साथ ही अपील की कि लड़का और लड़की को परिवार में समान अधिकार मिलने चाहिए। अपने संबोधन में उन्होंने शाहरूख खान, मैरीकॉम, कैलाश सत्याथी और मिल्खा सिंह का जिक्र किया। साथ ही उन्होंने कहा कि अमेरिका और भारत में एक समानता यह है कि दोनों देशों की विभिन्नता ही इनकी मजबूती है। अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति ने माना कि भारत युवाओं का देश है और भारतीय युवा पूरी दुनिया को बेहतर शक्ल दे सकते हैं।

अमेरिका-भारत के कॉलेजों को जोड़ने की कल्पना

भारतीय युवाओं को मेहनती बताते हुए उन्होंने कहा की अमेरिका और भारत के कॉलेजों को वे एक साथ जोड़ना चाहते हैं ताकि शिक्षा का आदान-प्रदान हो सके। मजदूरों का जिक्र करते हुए ओबामा ने कहा कि मजदूर देश की तरक्की की रीढ़ होते हैं। अपने संबोधन के दौरान उन्होंने माना कि रंग की वजह से उन्हें भी संघर्ष करना पड़ा है। ओबामा के अनुसार सब को मिलकर बदलाव लाना होगा।

एक ऐसा क्षण भी आया जब ओबामा भावुक हो गए। अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति ने अपनी बचपन की यादों को बांटते हुए बताया कि उनके दादा ब्रिटिश सेना में कुक थे। जब उनका जन्म हुआ तो अमेरिका के कुछ क्षेत्रों में अश्वेत लोगों को वोट देने का भी अधिकार नहीं था। उन्होंने कहा, 'हम ऐसे देशों से हैं, जहां एक कुक का पोता देश राष्ट्रपति बन जाता है और एक चाय वाला प्रधानमंत्री।'

भाषण के अंत में ओबामा ने कहा कि वह पहले ऐसे राष्ट्रपति हैं जो दूसरी बार भारत दौरे पर आए हैं, लेकिन उन्हें यकीन है कि वह आखिरी नहीं होंगे। अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति के भारत दौरे का आज अंतिम दिन है।

सीएनबीसी-आवाज के मुताबिक भारत और अमेरिका के बीच हुए इस रक्षा करार से भारत को कई अहम तकनीक मिलने का रास्ता साफ हो गया है। जिससे भारतीय सेना की क्षमताओं में बढ़ोतरी होगी। इस करार से भारतीय रक्षा कंपनियों के लिए मौके बढ़ेंगे औरभारत को रक्षा मैन्युफैक्चरिंग हब बनाने में मदद मिलेगी।आतंकवाद के मुद्दे पर अमेरिका के साथ बनी सहमति से आतंकवाद का बेहतर तरीके से मुकाबला  किया जा सकेगा।

इंडो-यूएस बिजनेस समिट में अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबामा ने भारत के साथ रिश्ते मजबूत करने पर जोर दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि भारत असीम संभावनाओं का देश है और अमेरिका उसका न्यूट्रल पार्टनर है। राष्ट्रपति ओबामा के मुताबिक अभी भी ऐसी संभावनाएं हैं जिनका इस्तेमाल नहीं हुआ है और अभी काफी काम करना बाकी है।

ओबामा ने एलान किया कि यूएस एक्जिम बैंक भारत को अगले 2 साल में 100 करोड़ डॉलर का कर्ज देगा। इसके अलावा ओबामा ने भारत में 400 करोड़ डॉलर निवेश करने और कर्ज का वादा भी किया। इतना ही नहीं ओबामा ने भरोसा जताया है कि भारत के इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर को अपग्रेड करने में अमेरिका मदद करेगा और यूएसटीडीए रिन्यूएबल एनर्जी प्रोजेक्ट्स के लिए 200 करोड़ डॉलर भी दिए जाएंगे। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने भी भारत में गुड गवर्नेंस और टैक्स नीतियों में स्थायित्व का वादा किया।

इंडो-यूएस बिजनेस समिट में प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने सरकार की सभी फ्लैगशिप योजनाओं का मकसद समझाया। उन्होंने मेक इन इंडिया, कारोबार को आसान बनाने जैसे योजनाओं पर खास जोर देते हुए कहा कि चाहे एग्रीकल्चर हो या मैन्युफैक्चरिंग, सरकार का हर सेक्टर  को आगे बढ़ाने पर जोर है।

इंडो-यूएस बिजनेस समिट में कॉरपोरेट्स ने प्रधानमंत्री मोदी के सामने पॉलिसी से जुड़ी परेशानियों को रखा, वहीं पीएम मोदी ने आगे बढ़कर कॉरपोरेट्स को भरोसा दिलाया कि पॉलिसी में ना सिर्फ सुधार होगा बल्कि सामंजस्यता भी रहेगी।

अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबामा ने इंडो-यूएस बिजनेस समिट के दौरान कहा कि भारत और अमेरिका के बीच व्यापार तेजी से बढ़ा है लेकिन अभी भी कारोबार बढ़ाने की अपार संभावनाएं हैं जिसके लिए दोनों देश आगे काम करेंगे। अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबामा कहा कि भारत और अमेरिका को कारोबार को आसान बनाने नई टेक्नोलॉजी का विकास और ग्रोथ को रफ्तार देने  पर जोर देना चाहिए।

वहीं गोदरेज ग्रुप के चेयरमैन अदि गोदरेज ने सीएनबीसी आवाज़ से खास बातचीत में कहा कि एनर्जी सिक्योरिटी के लिए न्यूक्वियर डील जरूरी थी और आपसी व्यापार और निवेश में बढ़ोतरी की उम्मीद है।

साथ न्यू सिल्क रूट के सीईओ पराग सक्सेना ने भी खास बातचीत में बताया कि विदेशी निवेशकों के लिए भारत में सेंटिमेंट पहले से काफी पॉजिटिव हो गया है, हालांकि जीएएआर जैसे मुद्दों पर सफाई आना अब भी बेहद जरूरी है।

एचएसबीसी इंडिया की चेयरमैन नैनालाल किदवई का कहना है कि भारत-अमेरिका के रिश्ते और मजबूत होंगे। इंडो-यूएस बिजनेस समिट में डिफेंस पर चर्चा हुई, लेकिन सरकार का फोकस रिन्यूएबल एनर्जी पर होना चाहिए। रिन्यूएबल एनर्जी के लिए यूएस से टेक्नोलॉजी और निवेश आ सकता है। सरकार की ओर से मेक इन इंडिया के लिए हर जरूरी कोशिश जारी है, लेकिन जमीन अधिग्रहण पर भी चर्चा जरूरी है।

भारती एंटरप्राइजेज के चेयरमैन सुनील भारती मित्तल का कहना है कि प्रधानमंत्री ने सीईओ फोरम में इलेक्ट्रॉनिक मैन्युफैक्चरिंग का मुद्दा उठाया लेकिन इलेक्ट्रॉनिक मैन्युफैक्चरिंग के लिए इन्सेंटिव पर्याप्त नहीं है। वहीं सुनील भारती मित्तल ने भरोया जताया है कि 500 अरब डॉलर के व्यापार का लक्ष्य हासिल किया जा सकता है।

केकेआर इंडिया के मेंबर और सीईओ संजय नायर का कहना है कि अमेरिकी कंपनियों के लिए भारत एक बड़ा बाजार है और बिजनेस करना आसार हुआ तो पूंजी और तकनीक आएगी। भारत में खासतौर से अमेरिका से काफी निवेश आएगा। हालांकि पूंजी बड़ी चुनौती है लेकिन सरकार का काम शानदार रहा है।

ओबामा के इस भारतीय दौरे के दौरान परमाणु करार पर भी भारत और अमेरिका के बीच सहमति बनी है। मोदी-ओबामा के हस्तक्षेप के बाद परमाणु डील पर लंबे समय से बना गतिरोध खत्म हो गया है और परमाणु जवाबदेही कानून से जुड़ा विवाद सुलझा लिया गया है। अमेरिका ने भी परमाणु सामाग्री की निगरानी की शर्त हटा ली है। इस करार के तहत अमेरिका न्यूक्लियर प्लांट के लिए 1500 करोड़ रुपये के इंश्योरेंस पूल पर सहमत हो गया है। जिसके तहत जीआईसी और 4 दूसरी बीमा कंपनियां 750 करोड़ का पूल बनाएंगी और बाकी 750 करोड़ रुपये भारत सरकार देगी। अमेरिका ने भारत को न्यूक्लियर सप्लायर ग्रुप की सदस्यता के समर्थन देने के भी संकेत दिए हैं। इसके अलावा भारत को 3 अन्य एक्सपोर्ट कंट्रोल रिजीम का सदस्य बनाने का भी भरोसा दिया गया है।

इस परमाणु डील से 2008 की परमाणु डील हकीकत में बदलेगी और अमेरिकी कंपनियां भारत में न्यूक्लियर रिएक्टर लगा सकेंगी। जी हितैची, वेस्टिंगहाउस जैसी कंपनियों की  भारत में दिलचस्पी है और इन कंपनियों को गुजरात में पहले ही जमीन अलॉट हो चुकी है। लेकिन परमाणु जवाबदेही कानून की चिंताओं की वजह से अभी काम नहीं शुरू हुआ था। इस करार से भारत को 2020 तक 20,000 मेगावॉट न्यूक्लियर बिजली बनाने और 2032 तक 63,000 मेगावॉट न्यूक्लियर बिजली बनाने का लक्ष्य पाने में मदद मिलेगी।

भारतीय कंपनियों के लिए ये करार किस तरह से फायदेमंद हो सकते हैं इस मुद्दे पर बात करते हुए वालचंदनगर इंडस्ट्रीज के एमडी जीके पिल्लई का कहना है कि भारत और अमेरिका के बीच न्युक्लियर डील से अमेरिकन न्यूक्लियर कंपनियों की भारत में रुचि बढ़ेगी और ठंडे बस्ते में पडे़ तमाम प्रस्तावों में नई गर्मी आयेगी। न्यूक्लियर सेक्टर में काम करने वाली भारतीय कंपनियों को अमेरिकन कंपनियों के साथ काम करने का मौका मिलेगा।

जीके पिल्लई ने बताया कि वालचंदनगर इंडस्ट्रीज का लक्ष्य अगले 5 साल में अपने डिफेंस और एयरोस्पेस कारोबार को बढ़ाकर 1000 करोड़ रुपये करना है।

ओपीसी ऐसेट सॉल्यूशंस के एक्जीक्यूटिव डायरेक्टर का कहना है कि बाजार में शानदार तेजी को देखते हुए लगता है कि जनवरी सीरीज में ही निफ्टी में 9000 का स्तर देखने को मिल सकता है। बाजार में बजट तक जोरदार तेजी जारी रहेगी और बजट तक बाजार ऊंचाई के सारे कीर्तिमान तोड़ देगा।

ओबामा आज अपनी बख्तरबंद लिमोजिन 'बीस्ट'में बैठकर पालम एयरपोर्ट पहुंचे। इस मौके पर उनकी पत्‍नी मिशेल ओबामा भी साथ थीं। आज दोपहर 1.50 बजे अपने आधिकारिक विमान एयरफोर्स वन में सवार होने से पहले ओबामा ने अपनी पत्‍नी के साथ हाथ जोड़कर सबका अभिवादन किया और नमस्‍ते किया। ओबामा के पालम पहुंचने से पहले एयरपोर्ट तक के रास्‍ते आम लोगों के लिए बंद कर दिए गए। साथ ही सुरक्षा के पूरे इंतजाम किए गए। उधर, व्‍हाइट हाऊस ने ट्वीट कर पीएम मोदी और भारत की जनता का धन्‍यवाद किया। ओबामा के शानदार दौरे के लिए भी धन्‍यवाद किया।

अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति ने भारत और अमेरिका के बीच कई समानताएं बताते हुए कहा कि ये दोनों देशों को करीब लाती हैं. उन्होंने कहा, 'मेरे पिता केन्या में ब्रिटिश आर्मी में कुक हुआ करते थे. जब हम पैदा हुए थे तो मेरे जैसे दिखने वाले लोग कई हिस्सों में वोट भी नहीं कर सकते थे. लेकिन हम ऐसे देशों से हैं जहां कुक का पोता राष्ट्रपति बन सकता है और एक चायवाले का बेटा भी प्रधानमंत्री बन सकता है.'

अपने प्रभावी वक्तव्यों के लिए मशहूर ओबामा ने भारतीय मेहमाननवाजी की भी खूब तारीफ की. उन्होंने बीच-बीच में अपने सेंस ऑफ ह्यूमर का भी खूब इस्तेमाल किया. उन्होंने कहा, 'भारतीय गणतंत्र दिवस समारोह में शामिल होने वाला पहला अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति बनना मेरे लिए गर्व की बात है. पिछली बार हम भारत आए थे तो हमने मुंबई में बच्चों के साथ डांस किया था और रोशनी का त्योहार (दीवाली) मनाया था. लेकिन दुर्भाग्य से इस बार हम बच्चों के साथ डांस नहीं कर सके. हमें भारत में दोबारा बुलाने के लिए 'बहुत धन्यवाद'.

भाषण के बाद अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति ने वहां मौजूद लोगों से मुलाकात की. इस कार्यक्रम में ओबामा के साथ शांति के लिए नोबेल पुरस्कार से सम्मानित कैलाश सत्यार्थी भी मौजूद थे. अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति ने यहां तीन स्पेशल बच्चों से भी मुलाकात की, जिन्हें बाल मजदूरी से सत्यार्थी की संस्था 'बचपन बचाओ' ने छुड़ाया था.

पायल, 14 वर्ष: पायल ने इस उम्र में शादी करने से मना कर दिया. अब वह बाल सरपंच हैं और अब अपने गांव में बाल विवाह को खत्म करने के अभियान की अगुवाई कर रही हैं.

अयूब खान, 12 वर्ष: हालात से मजबूर अयूब से जबरदस्ती एक बटन बनाने की फैक्ट्री में काम करवाया गया. सत्यार्थी की संस्था ने उसे इस नरक से आजाद कराया.

दीपक, 8 साल: दीपक भी एक बाल मजदूर था. एक खेत में काम करते हुए उसकी उंगली थ्रेशर की चपेट में आ गई.

गौरतलब है कि साल 2009 में बराक ओबामा को भी शांति के नोबेल पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया था. हालांकि ओबामा रविवार को राष्ट्रपति प्रणब मुखर्जी की ओर से दिए गए भोज के दौरान ही कैलाश सत्यार्थी से मिल चुके हैं.

'मन की बात' का डबल धमाका

मंगलवार रात 8 बजेप्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबामाएक साथ मिलकर रेडियो पर 'मन की बात' करेंगे. इस कार्यक्रम की रिकॉर्डिंग पहले ही हो चुकी है, मंगलवार को इसका प्रसारण किया जाना है. गौरतलब है कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी रेडियो के माध्यम से देशवासियों के साथ 'मन की बात' करते हैं.

चार अरब डॉलर का निवेश

इससे पहले सोमवार की शाम अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबामा ने देश में चार अरब डॉलर के निवेश की घोषणा की. इसके साथ ही भारत और अमेरिका के बीच व्यापार का लंबा फासला तय करने का रास्ता खुल गया है.

राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में सोमवार को अमेरिका-भारत व्यापार सम्मेलन को संबोधित करते हुए ओबामाने कहा, 'अगले दो सालों में हमारा आयात निर्यात बैंक (ईएक्सआईएम) भारत को एक अरब डॉलर का अमेरिका में बनी वस्तुओं के आयात का समर्थन करेगा. यह भारत भर में लघु और मध्यम आकार के व्यापार को एक अरब डॉलर से ज्यादा राशि का कर्ज देगा. और हमारी अमेरिकी व्यापार और विकास एजेंसी भारत में अक्षय ऊर्जा के क्षेत्र में लगभग दो अरब डॉलर का निवेश करेगी.'

अन्य कदमों की चर्चा करते हुए ओबामा ने कहा कि अमेरिका भारत को ब्रॉडबैंड कनेक्टिविटी और बेहतर सड़कों के निर्माण में सहायता के लिए तैयार है.

उन्होंने कहा, 'हमें इस बात को सुनिश्चित करने की जरूरत है कि भारत और अमेरिका का आर्थिक विकास समावेशी हो. प्रवासी निवेश पहल भी भारत के लिए मददगार होगा.'

ओबामा ने कहा, 'भारत को अमेरिकी निर्यात लगभग 35 फीसदी है. हमारे देश में भी भारतीय निवेश में बढ़ोतरी हो रही है. भारतीय निवेश से अमेरिका में रोजगारों का सृजन हो रहा है. हमारे बीच प्रगाढ़ होते व्यापार संबंध भी भारत के लिए शुभ संकेत है. संबंधों से दोनों देशों के कामगार लाभान्वित हो रहे हैं.'

इससे पहले समारोह को संबोधित करते हुए प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने कहा कि राज्य को ऐसी नीतियों से संचालित होना चाहिए, जो अधिक निवेश आकर्षित कर सकें. उन्होंने कहा कि उनकी सरकार के छह महीने के कार्यकाल के दौरान ही अमेरिकी निवेश में 50 फीसदी का उछाल आया है.

मोदी ने यहां आयोजित अमेरिका-भारत बिजनेस समिट में कहा, 'राज्य नीति संचालित होना चाहिए. इससे निवेश में मदद मिलेगी. देश में निवेश लाने के लिए स्थिरता एक अन्य बहुत महत्वपूर्ण पक्ष है. इनसे कई समस्याएं सुलझ जाएंगी.'

मोदी, अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबामा के साथ इस शिखर सम्मेलन को संबोधित कर रहे थे. उन्होंने कहा कि अधोसंरचना और कृषि में भारी निवेश से अर्थव्यवस्था में सुधार होगा.

उन्होंने कहा, 'हम सही रास्ते पर हैं. आर्थिक विकास में वृद्धि दर्ज की गई है. दुनिया के प्रमुख देशों के मुकाबले भारत में व्यापार का माहौल सर्वोच्च स्तर पर है. उपभोक्ता माहौल तीन साल के बाद सकारात्मक दर्ज किया गया है.'

मोदी ने कहा, 'अर्थव्यवस्था के आठ प्रमुख सेक्टरों का विकास तेजी से बढ़ा है. महंगाई पांच साल के निचले स्तर पर है. पिछले चार महीनों में 11 करोड़ बैंक खाते खोले गए हैं. मेरी सरकार के छह माह के कार्यकाल में ही अमेरिकी निवेश 50 फीसदी बढ़ा है.'

बौद्धिक संपदा अधिकार का मुद्दा उठाते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि इस मुद्दे को सभी पक्षों को मिलकर हल करना होगा. उन्होंने कहा, 'हमने एक कार्यकारी समूह गठित किया है जो इस मुद्दे पर चर्चा करेगा.' ओबामा की ओर रुख करते हुए मोदी ने कहा कि अब इनके सहयोग से 'हम अपनी प्रतिबद्धताओं को ठोस भविष्य में बदलेंगे.'

बड़ी परियोजनाओं की निगरानी खुद करेगा PMO

फैसला लेने की प्रक्रिया को तेज और धारदार बनाने के लिए प्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय (पीएमओ) खुद बड़ी परियोजनाओं पर नजर रखेगा।  सोमवार को प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने निवेशकों को आश्वासन दिया कि प्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय भारी निवेश वाली बड़ी परियोजनाओं की खुद निगरानी करेगा।

पीएम ने निवेशकों को खुले माहौल का आश्वासन दिया, जिससे निवेश करने में आसानी होगी और कारोबार को फायदा पहुंचाएगा। मोदी ने इन बड़ी परियोजनाओं की प्रगति पर निजी रूप से नजर रखने की एक भारतीय-अमेरिकी फोरम के प्रस्ताव को स्वीकार कर लिया और यह वादा किया। परियोजनाओं की निगरानी करने के लिए यूपीए शासनकाल में जिस निगरानी ग्रुप का गठन हुआ था, वह कैबिनेट सचिन के अधीन है और कई लंबित परियोजनाओं को मंजूरी दिलाने में मदद की है। लेकिन, निवेशक इस बात को तरजीह देंगे कि प्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय बड़ी परियोजनाओं की खुद से निगरानी करे जिससे कि फैसला लेने की प्रक्रिया में तेजी आए। मैन्युफैक्चरिंग सेक्टर में जान डालने और ओवरऑल ग्रोथ को बढ़ावा देने के लिए लंबित परियोजनाओं को आगे बढ़ाना बहुत जरूरी है।

बिजनस लीडरों ने जो सुझाव दिए, उनको सुनने के बाद प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि जिन समस्याओं का उल्लेख किया गया है उनमें से अधिकतर का हल 3 चीजों के माध्यम से होगा। वे 3 चीजें हैं, सक्रिय और कल्याणकारी सुशासन, पॉलिसी से चलने वाला देश और पॉलिसी में निरंतरता।

पीएम ने इस बात को स्वीकार किया कि इंटेलेक्चुअल प्रॉपर्टी राइट्स एक अहम मुद्दा है और सभी देशों को मिलकर इसका हल निकालना चाहिए। उन्होंने सरकार की मुख्य प्राथमिकताओं पर भी प्रकाश डाला जिनमें 'व्यापार करने को आसान बनाना' और 'मेक इन इंडिया' भी शामिल है। उन्होंने इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर विशेषकर रेलवे में निवेश के महत्व का भी उल्लेख किया।

पीएम ने इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर को अपग्रेड करने की सरकार की योजनाओं में व्यापार के अवसर गिनाए। उन्होंने रेलवे, क्लीन गंगा मिशन, शहरी कचरा प्रबंधन, गावों को जोड़ने और सात सालों में सभी भारतीय को घर दिलाने के अपने प्रॉजेक्ट में बिजनस के अवसर गिनाए।

पीएम मोदी ने अमेरिका के साथ मजबूत साझीदारी की वकालत की। उन्होंने कहा कि दोनों देश के हाथ मिलाने से दुनिया को भलाई होगी। उन्होंने कहा, 'विश्व की अर्थव्यवस्था को स्थिरता प्रदान करने और इसके ग्रोथ को बढ़ाने में भारत अहम भूमिका निभाएगा। और सबसे बड़ी बात यह है कि भारत की संपन्नता से दुनिया में शांति और स्थिरता आएगी।

The advertisement has been issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Ministry and also carries a quotation by the Prime Minister.

At the time when the people of India, and even the global community, have genuine apprehensions about the secular character of the Indian democracy, which stands threatened by a right-wing government formed with less than one-third of the popular votes, this omission is utterly condemnable.

Secularism has been pivotal to the post-independent India, binding all communities together as equal citizens. Similarly, the word socialist was added to emphasize the social committments of the state in a country like India. These two values are non-negotiable and any attempt to dilute them would face strong resistance. We condemn the I & B Ministry and demand an apology from the govt for this mischievous advertisement on Republic Day.

CONFUSION GALORE OVER N-DEAL Barely two days after US President Barack Obama's visit, differing readings are emerging in New Delhi and Washington over the `breakthrough' nuclear deal

US President Barack Obama departed after three-days of intense negotiations and getting a taste of famed Indian hospitality in what was termed as a landmark visit in which logjam over operationalization of civil nuclear deal was removed different readings are emerging in the two capitals over the contours of the understanding.

The apparent US-India breakthrough this week was in narrowing differences on the liability issue. But barely two days into the "breakthrough" of the nuclear deal, there are different interpretations in Delhi and Washington over the deal that has been reached.While Indian officials led by Foreign Secretary said that `deal is done' clearing way for nuclear commerce and that US have agreed to lift its insistence on flagging, or tracking, the nuclear material supplied to India, US nuclear suppliers said the breakthrough is welcome but they are still reviewing the fine print with regard to concessions in the Liability Law. And no less than U.S. Ambassador Richard Verma was on record saying "it's up to the companies what to do".

Paris-based energy and nuclear policy consultant Mycle Schneider told news agency Associated Press that if anything substantive was agreed, "it's very unclear." A senior official of the Westinghouse – that would supply reactors for the 6,600-megawatt nuclear plant – said that there could be further delay in setting up the plant if there is no clear mandate from the government.

Besides the insurance pool to offset the Liability Law would also likely mean that commercial nuclear projects become more expensive, according to experts.

Noted foreign affairs expert and f o r m e r d i p l o m a t M K Bhadrakumar told ET that 'breakthrough' in nuclear deal cannot be described as a deliverable as different interpretations are emerging in two capitals. "In fact there was nothing substantive from this visit as the focus was largely on optics.

Obama is on weaker wicket at home and optics mean a lot for him," is what Bhadrakumar would analyse in a nutshell. He also claimed that there was not much in this visit for Modi's flagship Make in India program with US four billion dollar commitment as export credit line.

Describing Obama's remarks at Siri Fort today as indiscreet, the senior expert said, "this was not in right taste to sermon India on religious freedom. In fact this was third such indiscretion by Obama in three days. He talked about US policy towards Iran and Russia putting Modi at discomfort at public glare in a press meet."

Mind you,(Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama weighed in on one of India's most sensitive topics as he wound up a visit on Tuesday, making a plea for freedom of religion to be upheld in a country with a history of strife between Hindus and minorities.

Hours before boarding a flight to Saudi Arabia, Obama warned India not to stray from its constitutional commitment to allow people to freely "profess, practice and propagate" religion.

"India will succeed so long as it is not splintered along the lines of religious faith, as long as it is not splintered along any lines, and it is unified as one nation," he said in a townhall address to mostly young Indians.

Obama's speech, after three days in New Delhi aimed at cementing a strategic partnership, was widely interpreted as a message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), whose rise to power emboldened activists to declare India a nation of Hindus.

He made no direct reference to Modi, who was banned from U.S. travel for nearly a decade until last year after deadly Hindu-Muslim violence in a state he ruled in 2002.

Lately, religious conversion has again become a divisive political issue, after hardliners with links to the BJP claimed Hinduism was under threat and started a campaign to convince Christians and Muslims to change their faith.

About a fifth of India's 1.27 billion people identify themselves as belonging to faiths other than Hinduism.

"The message is that India is a democratic country, it is not a Hindu country or a Christian country, it is all together, India has respect for all religions," said Imam Umer Ahmed Ilyasi, a Muslim priest who heads the All India Imam Organisation, after the speech. He was standing with a Hindu holy man from one of India's pilgrimage towns, Rishikesh.

Modi has warned lawmakers from his own party to stop promoting controversial issues such as religious conversions and to focus on economic reforms, but Obama's message was quickly seized by political opponents of the prime minister.

"I do hope that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was listening to the speech carefully," said Manish Tewari of the opposition Congress party, criticising Hindu activists for promoting a "majoritarian ethos that goes against the grain of liberal democracy".

Obama and Modi's relaxed manner together during the visit was dubbed a "bromance" in India media, after the two men shared tea in a lotus garden, recorded a radio show together, and spent two hours chatting at a rain-splashed military parade.

In between, they sealed deals to unlock billions of dollars in nuclear trade and deepen defence ties, and Obama pledged $4 billion in financial backing to release the "untapped potential" of a partnership between the world's largest democracies.

Some of that financing is to help Modi meet his own ambitious goals to use more renewable energy, especially solar, as fast-growing India's carbon emissions rise.

However, during the visit, India did not commit to a peak emissions target of the kind China and the United States agreed to in November.

"Here's the truth: even if countries like the United States curb our emissions, if growing countries like India - with soaring energy needs - don't also embrace cleaner fuels, then we don't stand a chance against climate change," Obama said.

On Monday, he became the first U.S. president to attend India's annual Republic Day parade, a show of military might long associated with Cold War anti-Americanism.

Obama's presence at the parade signalled Modi's willingness to end India's traditional reluctance to get too close to any big power. Instead, he is seeking close ties with them all, even as he pushes back against a more assertive China and take sides on other global issues.A joint U.S.-India policy statement that focused on free navigation in the South China Sea highlighted this more muscular diplomacy.

ENDORSING INDIAN REFORM

Obama said the United States would stand first in line for the trade and investment opportunities that will spring from the economic reform drive under Modi.

"America wants to be your partner in igniting the next wave of Indian growth. As India pursues reforms to encourage more trade and investment, we'll be the first in line," he told the townhall, attended by Michelle Obama and Nobel peace laureate Kailash Satyarthi.

Praising the non-violence tenets of Mahatma Gandhi, Obama touched during his speech on the treatment of women, an issue that has troubled India since the horrific gang rape and murder of a student on a bus in New Delhi two years ago.

"Every daughter deserves the same chance as our sons," he said. "And every woman should be able to go about her day — to walk the street, or ride the bus — and be safe and be treated with the respect and dignity. She deserves that."

Mind you,a day after row erupted over a Republic Day advertisement of the Union Information and Broadcasting Ministry, the Shiv Sena on Wednesday demanded "permanent deletion" of the words "secular" and "socialist" from the preamble to the Constitution.And RSS sought to retain the "mistake" of omission of two vital words - "secular" and "socialist" - from the preamble to the Indian Constitution.

It is quite in accordance with the Manusmriti Rule project of Hindu Imperialism as much as green clearance for billion billion dollars.Just see,Shiv Sena - a key constituent in the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) - on Wednesday sought to retain the "mistake" of omission of two vital words - "secular" and "socialist" - from the preamble to the Indian Constitution.

"We welcome the exclusion of the words ('secular' and 'socialist') from the Republic Day advertisement. Though it might have been done inadvertently, it is like honouring the feelings of the people of India. If these words were deleted by mistake this time, they should be deleted from the Constitution permanently," Sena MP Sanjay Raut said.

"From the time they (the words) were included in the Constitution, it is being said that this country can never be secular. Balasaheb Thackeray and before him Veer Savarkar had been saying that India was divided on the lines of religion. Pakistan was created for Muslims, thus, what remains is a Hindu Rashtra," Mr. Raut said.

The minority community has been used only for political gains, while "Hindus are being continuously disrespected", he alleged.

"It is nowhere written in the Constitution that you mete out such treatment to Hindus and use Muslims to garner votes," he said.

"This mistake on the part of the government has happened only because destiny wants this to happen. Modi is the Prime Minister of India, and his thoughts on Hindutva are strong," the Sena leader said.\

On Tuesday, Congress leader Manish Tewari had attacked the Centre on the issue, claiming the government advertisement "deleted" the two words, which was only a prelude to their "substitution" with "communal" and "corporate".

Minister of State for I&B Rajyavardhan Rathore, however, was quick to dismiss the charge, saying his Ministry had only used an "original" picture of the preamble as it appeared before the Amendment, to "honour" the first preamble.

The Union Minister also claimed that the same picture had been used in an advertisement by the I&B Ministry in April 2014. Mr. Tewari had helmed the Ministry at that time.

The advertisement showed a picture of the preamble in the background with a quote from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and pictures of some citizens in the foreground.

Budget 2015: How reforms can help Modi's "Make in India" campaign

The government's "Make in India" initiative is being closely followed by Indian companies and foreign investors. A lot of hope rests on the BJP government's first full-year budget following its victory in last year's general election as the announcements made by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will impact the investment cycle.

Some reforms that will help the "Make in India" campaign are:

A stable tax regime – Reforms proposed in the budget should be in line with the long-term vision for India. There should be no surprise addition of taxes or removal of tax holidays or deductions.

Clarity on tax law - Taxation in India is subject to multiple interpretations by the taxpayer and the tax department, and some of them need to be addressed at the earliest. For example, the rule on taxability of offshore transactions resulting in an indirect transfer of assets in India needs clarification. The government should come out with detailed guidelines on the methodology to compute the tax liability in India in case of such indirect transfers. The deferment of General Anti-Avoidance Rules till the tax regime stabilizes would be helpful.

Further, there are many industry-wide tax issues wherein tax officers in different jurisdictions have taken different positions. The government needs to set up a panel which would address specific industry issues, and the same should be made enforceable through the country.

Tax sops for investment in key sectors and reduction in the Minimum Alternate Tax (MAT) rate – Tax holidays for new manufacturing facilities set up across sectors would boost investment. Such new facilities should not be subject to taxes under the MAT regime. Also, the existing MAT rate should be reduced for units currently availing tax holidays.

Implementation of GST - Implementation of a nationwide goods and services tax (GST) and removal of the numerous indirect tax laws would have a major impact on businesses. A clear roadmap for implementation of GST would enable investors to take calculated calls on their investment/expansion plans in India.

Transparent and quick resolution of disputes – Increasing the scope and power of the Dispute Resolution Panel could help tackle the long list of unresolved litigation matters. Also, additional benches of the Authority of Advance Rulings (AAR) would strengthen the tax tribunal and result in speedy disposal of applications for advance rulings.

Transfer Pricing – Introduction of the concept of the rollback provisions for advance pricing agreements (APAs) in the 2014 budget was a welcome move. One expects the necessary legislative amendments being introduced in the upcoming budget to prescribe the extent and manner of the applicability of these provisions.

Going forward, the government should consider creating a financial zone to turn India into a manufacturing hub. Benefits such as lower taxes, no permanent establishment issue and non-applicability of transfer pricing provisions could be provided to businesses in this zone. They would act as enablers to convince firms to conduct their business without having to worry about the tax consequences on their overseas income in India.
