Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday reacted to the death of Dalit PhD student Rohith Vemula, terming it a 'murder of democracy' for which Prime Minister Narendra Modi should apologise.

"Modi government is constitutionally duty bound to uplift Dalits. Instead Modiji's ministers got five Dalit students ostracised and suspended," Kejriwal tweeted this morning.

In another tweet, Kejriwal said: "It's not suicide. It's murder. It's murder of democracy, social justice and equality. Modi ji should sack ministers and apologize to the nation."

Rohith was found dead at Hyderabad Central University on Sunday morning. The issue took a political turn with allegations that the extreme action was a result of discrimination against Dalit students at the behest of Union Labour Miniser Bandaru Dattatreya, who had written a letter to HRD Minister Smriti Irani, seeking action against their "anti-national acts".

Rohit was among five research scholars who were suspended by Hyderabad Central University (HCU) in August last year and also one of the accused in the case of assault on a student leader. They were also kept out of the hostel.

On Monday, Dattatreya and Hyderabad University Vice Chancellor were named in an FIR, triggering massive protests and demands for their removal from their posts.

Meanwhile, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi has left for Hyderabad and will visit Rohith's mother later today.

My heart bleeds the brutal apathy against Dalits in Bengal as we have not heared any voice in protest as the Dalit scholar commits suicide having been branded anti national by the Union Labour Minister who is an instrument to finish the rights to workers and doing his duty very very well to enforce labour killing startup.

The minister wrote a letter to the HR Minister Smriti Irani to act against Ambedkar Students` Association in Hyderabad Universty and five students were expelled.

One of them committed suicide.

last year, we witnessed HOKKOLROB demanding resignation of the Jadavpur Vice Chancellor.

It inflicted the world.The nation stood united with Jadavpur students screaming, Jadavpur Pashe Aaachhi.

Those students seem to be absconding since FTTI shffronizing,since ban on Pareir study circle and perhaps they never returned to the Campus.

Mind you,it was after HokKOLOROB that the Film and

 Television Institute (FTII) students went on 

strike on June 12th, 2015.

SFI is the leading force in rest of the country as SFI has its original base in Kolkata.

No HOKKOLOROB in Kolkata neither SFI struck the streets as it did in Kolkata or anywhere in Bengal.Paid Intelligentsia has not to react whatever may come!

I have to leave Kolkata very soon having lived here for twenty five years.My works have been published all over rest of the world,but never in Bengal.

I know why they skip me and I do not complain.

But every time I have to witness the brute  apathy against SC,ST and OBC communities,agrarian India including rural India,Jangal Mahal and the Hills,my heart bleeds!I am all alone in the wildness.

I am associated with news since 1973.Before Dr Jagnnath Mishra introduced the Press Act,lead meant President,Prime Minister and Chief Minister.

The movement against Press Act changed the scenario.

In Indian Express,Political statement is never treated as topmost priority for name shake unless that makes some difference.

Indian Express meant breaking news always.

Indian Express meant news beyond print.I

Investigative news and Indian Express had nothing to do with show biz beyond its prescribed space on entertainment page.

Even incidents were never out of proportion as we treated public interest and policy decisions,public hearing as topmost priorities.

Perhaps I deserved it.

Today I was browsing TV Channels after updating the protest,sharing the live streams and photos,but I could not get anything on TV.

It was showcasing Sunny Leone Video as Delhi Government  anti Tobacco campaign.

Spreading anger was covered with Rahul Gandhi bites and agitating students right into the heart of the Indian Capital were nowhere in the frame!

An encounter with the Hindu-ISIS today.

Today whilst many progressive secular organizations gathered at Azad Maidan to condemn the institutional murder of Rohit Vemula, a number of "Hindu Organizations" were also present at the site, in their own pandal.
These Hindu Organizations, were spewing hatred against "progressive and Asuras", called for the murder of the Asuras as laid down by the laws of the Bhagwad Gita, as stated by Bhagwan Krishna they said. They also opposed the movement of the women demanding rights of equal access to the Shani Peth Mandir near Poona and called this as a "conspiracy of feminists and progressives, who need to be taught a lesson".
These horrors are the mirror image of the ISIS and I call them the Hindu-ISIS hordes. Both want to establish highly intolerant theocracies, male dominated and anti-women, anti-democratic, zero tolerance for any other form of views, religions, traditions, cultures. Thus where clearly the "other/s, will be at best second-third class citizens or worse.
They will be called anti-national, or anti-Islam, or anti-Hindu, Blasphemers and apostates, who must be beheaded, murdered, shot dead, or burnt alive. This is the language that they spoke, both speak everyday, fanatics across all religions speak today.

Speaking ahead of his BBC Reith Lecture on black holes, Stephen Hawking discusses the danger inherent in progress and the chances of disaster on Earth.

Professor Hawking warned that those dangers could come from nuclear war, global warming and genetically-engineered viruses, the BBC reported. The chances of those things are increasing, he said — and there is perhaps little humanity can do about it

The human race faces one its most dangerous centuries yet as progress in science and technology becomes an ever greater threat to our existence, Stephen Hawking warns.

Though humankind has been facing threats, but the renowned physicist asserted that people would be able to survive as by that time, colonies would have been made in other words. Prof. Hawking said that construction of colonies in other worlds is not going to turn into a reality till next hundred years. Therefore, it is important to stop doing activities that put humans at risk.

Nuclear war, global warming and genetically engineered viruses are among the threats being faced by the humankind. Hawking believes that advancement in science and technology is good in one way, as it has been improving the lifestyle of billions, but it is also acting as a means to end humanity.

Many experts have already discussed about how human acts have been affecting earth. Thomas Malthus, the British economist and demographer said in 1798, "The vices of mankind are active and able ministers of depopulation. They are the precursors in the great army of destruction; and often finish the dreadful work themselves".

Hawking in an open letter published in 2015 and signed by him along with more than 1,000 researchers have affirmed that artificial intelligence and the autonomous weapons are among the areas of concern.

Back in August, Stephen Hawking announced that he had solved a lingering mystery in the world of astrophysics: Information seems to disappear when ingoing particles enter a black hole, but that loss of information contradicts the very laws of quantum mechanics.

The chances of disaster on planet Earth will rise to a near certainty in the next one to ten thousand years, the eminent cosmologist said, but it will take more than a century to set up colonies in space where human beings could live on among the stars.

"We will not establish self-sustaining colonies in space for at least the next hundred years, so we have to be very careful in this period," Hawking said. His comments echo those of Lord Rees, the astronomer royal, who raised his own concerns about the risks of self-annihilation in his 2003 book Our Final Century.

Speaking to the Radio Times ahead of the BBC Reith Lecture, in which he will explain the science of black holes, Hawking said most of the threats humans now face come from advances in science and technology, such as nuclear weapons and genetically engineered viruses.

"We are not going to stop making progress, or reverse it, so we must recognise the dangers and control them," he added.

Nationwide protests will take place following the suicide by Vemula Rohith, a Dalit student at the university of Hyderabad (UoH) on the evening of Sunday, January 17. The first protest, spontaneous and angry, took place at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) late night, about 9.30 p.m. on Sunday January 17, 2016 itself. Vemula Rohith left a poignant suicide note before he took his life by hanging himself in the room of a colleague-friend in Hyderabad.....

To my shock and horror the 'lead' news headline that leapt out of page 1 was this: "Allah allows Muslims to rape non-Muslim women in order to humiliate them, claims Islamic professor". Source of the News? Zee News....
