Though it is not the first incident.Hindutva Brigade first converted the followers of Anti Vedic,Anti Purohit Agrarian insurgency led by Harichand Thakur and Guruchand Thakur.

The Matua Movement was the first ever revolt against Manusmriti Rule in United India.Matua Family demanded citizenship just before Assembly elections and Manjul Krishna Thakur was rewarded with an insignificant ministry.Matua family forgot citizenship and cashed in further as Kapil Krishna Thakur known as Leftist crossed the fence and elevated himself as TMC MP.Manjul tried to get the ticket for his son Subrata and failed.Citizenship was again the game as Subrata Thakur launched a citizenship indefinite Hunger Strike and ended it within three days just after meeting BJP leaders behind close doors.

The very moment I wrote,the Matua Family since PR Thakur joining Congress just before partition has diverted the movement and the Non Aryan agrarian renaissance is just reduced to Hindutva.

Just for a Loksabha Ticket the legacy of Harichand Thakur Guruchand Thakur has been immersed in RSS and now,the Adivasi people follow the Matuas as Lotus blooms in Bengal,here,there and everywhere.

So much so that Calcutta Book Fair launched with seven books written and published by the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has been hijacked by RSS for a mass memebership drive.UNPRECEDENTED.

I am not considered a creative writer.I have no books to be launched.I am excluded from the iconic intelligentsia in Bengal and I never visited the Book Fair in the Milan Mela shifted from Kolkata Maidan and diverted from its apolitical legacy.

The Book Fair has been regimented in accordance to power politics and I stopped to visit the political fair since Bengal Politics launched a countrywide deportation drive headed by Pranab Mukherjee and Passed Citizenship Amendment Act aligning with RSS and its first NDA government.

For Bhasha Bandhan, I had to go the Book Fair even after that.

Since Nandigram Police Firing,all books launched from the political dias of the Book Fair and the business class writers and poets have been irrelevant to me.

I am sorry to say that the Book Fair is converted as well as Hindutva is the real theme as lotus blooms in the Book Fair.Nevertheless, Kolkata is set to become India's first fully Wi-Fi-enabled metro with a private ... at the inauguration of the Kolkata book fairon Tuesday evening. ... with urban youths, something that BJP was taking advantage of.Thanks to RELIANCE!

So, no wonder that Praveen Togadia managed a rare show of Ghar Wapasi in Birbhum for Bengal Adivasi Peoplewho have been involved in every agrarian insurgency, revolts and movement.

RSS may or may not win the 2016 elections,I am not sure as every politician is unpredictable and we may not who might cross the fences.

Nevertheless ,bengal goes that Hindutva ways and it is Sraswati Vandana all over.It is full bloom Durgotsav in Bengal!

I may not be sure whether Saurabh Ganguly whom I personally respect as the most intellectual Icon in India,would continue to refuse MODI invitation again and again provided he sees yet another Parivartan and a Parivartan with Lotus Blooming and Blooming.

I am not sure who is going to follow Rupa ganguly next.

For me Praveen Togadia and his VHP run through Bengal and without any resistance whatsoever.

For me the Left is  a divided House and it sustains the hegemony as well.I see no virtual chance for the Left in near future and RSS is blooming in Bengal so much so that I am afraid that someday the entire Left should convert to Hindutva.

What a pity that TMC is complaining forcible conversion while Mamata Banerjee is the Chief Minister till this date as far as my knowledge is concerned.

A TMC MLA alleged that over 100 tribals were lured to Hinduism in an event organised by the VHP in Birbhum district.

A major controversy erupted in West Bengal on Thursday over allegations of religious conversion of several tribals at Rampurhat town of the State's Birbhum district.

While the Viswa Hindu parishad (VHP) has denied any religious conversion, senior officials conformed to The Hindu that the tribals performed ceremonial offering as per Hindu practices.

"There was no 'Ghar Wapsi' (home coming) or conversion to Hiduism performed at Khurmadanga in Rampurhat area in Birbhum district. Local tribals took part in ceremonial offerings according to Hindu rituals," Sachindranath Sinha, VHP organisational secretary told The Hindu.

However, Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA Asish Banerjee alleged that over 100 tribals who had accepted Christianity in the past were lured to Hinduism in an event organised by the VHP on Wednesday

"The incident occurred in Rampurhat town at Khurmadanga where proper religious ceremony was performed. We will take up the matter with the administration," Mr. Banerjee said.

"Officially I have not received any information on this," District Magistrate P Mohangandhi told The Hindu.

This is for the first time in recent years when row over is reported in the State.

বীরভূম: এ রাজ্যেও এবার ধর্মান্তরণের ঘটনা ঘটল। যে ইস্যু নিয়ে গোটা দেশ উত্তাল, সংসদে বিবৃতি দিতে হয়েছে খোদ প্রধানমন্ত্রীকে, সেই ধর্মান্তরণের ঘটনা ঘটল এই রাজ্যেও। বিশ্ব হিন্দু পরিষদের সর্বভারতীয় নেতা প্রবীণ তোগাড়িয়া এবং যুগলকিশোরের উপস্থিতিতেই ধর্মান্তরণ হল। রামপুরহাটের খরমডাঙা গ্রামের এই ঘটনায় তীব্র চাঞ্চল্য ছড়িয়েছে।

আজ সকালে শতাধিক ক্রিশ্চান আদিবাসী মানুষকে হিন্দু ধর্মে রূপান্তর করানো হয়। পুকুরে স্নান করে, ঘটে জল ভরে মন্দিরে পুজোপাঠ করানো হয় এই আদিবাসীদের।

পরে আহুতি এবং মন্ত্রপাঠের মাধ্যমে ধর্মান্তরণ করা হয় এই আদিবাসী ক্রিশ্চান সম্প্রদায়ের মানুষদের।

মুখে কিন্তু ধর্মান্তরণের বিরোধিতা করেছেন প্রবীণ তোগাড়িয়া। সঙ্গে অভিন্ন আইনের দাবিও তুলেছেন । যুগলকিশোরের মুখেও বিরোধিতা শোনা গেল ঠিকই, কিন্তু তাঁদের উপস্থিতিতেই ধর্মান্তরণের ঘটনা ফের নতুন প্রশ্নের জন্ম দিল। ঘটনার তীব্র নিন্দা করেছেন তৃণমূল জেলা সভাপতি অনুব্রত মণ্ডল।

ইতিমধ্যেই, টুইটারে এই ঘটনায় তীব্র প্রতিক্রিয়া দেখিয়েছেন তৃণমূল সাংসদ ডেরেক ও'ব্রায়েন।

রাজ্যে সরকারি কর্মীদের নতুন সংগঠন গড়ল বিজেপি

ওয়েব ডেস্ক: রাজ্যে সরকারি কর্মীদের নতুন সংগঠন গড়ল বিজেপি। তৈরি হল নতুন সংগঠন, সরকারি কর্মচারি পরিষদ। মঙ্গলবার মৌলালি যুব কেন্দ্রের কনভেনশনে নতুন সংগঠনের সূচনা হয়। তৃণমূল সহ অন্যান্য দলের প্রভাবিত সংগঠন ছেড়ে আসা নেতা কর্মীদের নিয়েই এই কনভেনশনের আয়োজন করা হয়েছিল। এই সব সদস্যদের হাতে নতুন সংগঠনের পতাকা তুলে দেন রাজ্য বিজেপির সভাপতি রাহুল সিনহা।

এদিকে,  তৃণমূলের ভাঙন ঠেকাতে এবার আসরে নামছেন খোদ  মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। আগামী ৩১ জানুয়ারি কালীঘাটে তৃণমূলের সম্প্রসারিত কোর কমিটির বৈঠক। দলের মধ্যে শৃঙ্খলা ফিরিয়ে আনতে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী সেদিন কী বার্তা দেন সেদিকেই তাকিয়ে রাজনৈতিক মহল। সব্যসাচী দত্ত থেকে দেবব্রত বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়, দীনেশ ত্রিবেদী। বিরাম নেই। বলেই চলেছেন। আজ সাংসদ তো কাল বিধায়ক। কারোর মুখে সরাসরি মোদীর প্রশংসা।

ওয়েব ডেস্ক: আমাদের দেশে পর্নোগ্রাফির হেড কোয়ার্টার বলতে সচরাচর দক্ষিণ ভারতকেই ধরা হয়। কিন্তু বাংলাতেও নীলছবির চাহিদা বাড়ছে রমরমিয়ে। এরাজ্যে পর্নোগ্রাফির আড়ত হল কলকাতার চাঁদনীচক মার্কেট। কম টাকায় রগরগে সিনেমার পাইরেটেড সিডির জন্য বহু ক্রেতা ভিড় করেন এখানে।

সেখানে সানি লিওন অভিনীত পর্নোমুভির চাহিদা সবচেয়ে বেশি। একশো কুড়ি টাকা থেকে আড়াইশো টাকা, বিভিন্ন রেঞ্জের সিডি পাওয়া যায় চাঁদনীতে। পরিসংখ্যান বলছে, চাঁদনী মার্কেট থেকে প্রতিদিন গড়ে শুধু সানি লিওনেরই দুশোটি করে পর্নোমুভির সিডি বিক্রি হয়।

পর্নোগ্রাফি বা নীলছবি দেখার প্রবণতা বেড়ে চলেছে বিশ্বজুড়ে। মোবাইল, ট্যাবের যুগে পর্নোগ্রাফি দেখার জন্য আর নির্জনতা খুঁজতে হয় না। তালুবন্দি মুঠোফোনে চাইলেই হাজির রগরগে ভিডিও। হাতের আড়ালেই তৈরি হয়ে যায় নিষিদ্ধ নির্জনতা। মন সেঁধিয়ে যায় আদিম রিপুর অমোঘ আকর্ষণে। পর্নোগ্রাফি দেখার অদম্য বাসনায় গা ভাসিয়েছে আমাদের দেশও।

আর এর ফলস্বরূপ পর্নোগ্রাফি দেখায় বিশ্বে দ্বিতীয় স্থানে উঠে এসেছে ভারত। গুগলের ওই সমীক্ষায় পাকিস্তান রয়েছে এক নম্বরে। স্মার্টফোন, সোশ্যাল নেটওয়ার্কিং ওয়েবসাইট আর হাই স্পিড ডাটা সার্ভিস পর্ন ভিডিও আদানপ্রদানের বিষয়টিকে সহজ করেছে। ফলে অনায়াসে স্কুল ছাত্র থেকে সিনিয়র কর্পোরেট অফিসার, সবার কাছে রগরগে ভিডিও পৌছে যাচ্ছে অনায়াসে। দেওয়ান লিখনটাও তাই স্পষ্ট। গুগলের সমীক্ষা বলছে, সারা বিশ্বে যে দশটি দেশে সবচেয়ে বেশি পর্ন ভিডিও দেখা হয়, তার মধ্যে সাতটি শহর ভারতের। এই তালিকায় রয়েছে আমাদের কলকাতাও।
