Lucknow, 10, January 2016: Rihai Manch termed the termination of Magsaysay award winner social worker Sandeep Pandey by BHU administration in the mid session as fresh example of Sangh nourished intolerance against progressive values. Alleging the BHU administration for working as Sangh and BJP volunteer, Manch hold it to be precedent of academic decline in Modi regime.


In a press release Rihai Manch president Mohd. Shoeb said that by terminating an eminent Gandhian and rationalist faculty BHU administration has given clear signal that it does not want the rational and progressive thoughts to prosper. Its aim is to produce superstitious, fools and communal goons with Khaki half pants who can serve the anti national activities of Sangh.


"Allegation of beign Naxalite or anti national against Pandey and his termination is politically motivated" said Rihai Manch leader Rajeev Yadav. Terming it an attack on academic freedom he urged the chancellor of the university, President Pranab Mukherji to intervene into the matter and reinstate him. Rajeev Yadav said that since Modi govt. has assumed power in the centre, educational institutions are being cleared of those having different ideologies and Sangh and BJP volunteers are being installed in their place. He said that same strategy worked when Mr K.V. Suresh was appointed director of Indian Institute of Mass Communication. His only qualification is that he is member of Vivekanand Foundation among whose members are from administrative officer accused of organizing Gujrat massacre of Muslims to likes of Niripendra Mishra, a declared CIA agent. Rajeev Yadav said that an NGO India Foundation run by Shourya Doval son of National Security Advisor Ajit Doval is leading a campaign to blunt the intellectual asset of the country.


"It is a matter of investigation in itself that the organization of Shourya Doval manages the events at Medison Square during the America visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and at the same time organizes the meet of DGP level officers for the last two years." he said.


He alleged that strong lobbies of Sangh and foreign corporate capital are campaigning to mould the genius and intellectual power of our country according to their needs and whoever is a hurdle is being removed.


State secretary of Insaf Abhiyan and student leader of Allahabad University Dinesh Chaudhry said that it is ill-luck of an institution like BHU that it has got a vice chancellor like  J.C. Tripathi who was a below average teacher of economics in Allahabad University and his own students didn't take him seriously. He said that Tripathi,s  only qualification to become the vice chancellor of BHU is that he has been loyal to Sangh since long.

लखनऊ 10 जनवरी 2016। रिहाई मंच ने मैगसेसे पुरस्कार से सम्मानित सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता और बीएचयू के गेस्ट फैकेल्टी संदीप पांडे को बीच सत्र में बीएचयू प्रशासन द्वारा हटा दिए जाने को प्रगतिशील मूल्यों के प्रति संघ परिवार पोषित असहिष्णुता का ताजा उदाहरण बताया है। मंच ने इस पूरे प्रकरण पर बीएचयू प्रशासन पर संघ और भाजपा के स्वयंसेवक के बतौर काम करने का आरोप लगाते हुए इसे मोदी सरकार में एकेडमिक पतन की नजीर बताया है।


रिहाई मंच द्वारा जारी प्रेस विज्ञप्ति में मंच के अध्यक्ष मोहम्मद शुऐब ने कहा है कि संदीप पांडे जैसे प्रतिष्ठित गांधीवादी और तर्कवादी फैकेल्टी को हटा कर बीएचयू प्रशासन ने साफ कर दिया है कि वो किसी भी कीमत पर तार्किक और प्रगतिशील विचारों को पनपने नहीं देना चाहता। उसका मकसद बीएचयू जैसी संस्थान से सिर्फ अंधविश्वासी,लम्पट, साम्प्रदायिक और मूर्ख खाकी निक्करधारी छात्रों की खेप पैदा करना है जो संघ परिवार के देशविरोधी कार्यकलापों में आसानी से लग जाएं।


रिहाई मंच नेता राजीव यादव ने कहा है कि संदीप पांडे को हटाने का निर्णय राजनीतिक है जिसके तहत उन्हें नक्सली और राष्ट्र विरोधी गतिविधियों में लिप्त बताया गया है। उन्होंने इसे अकादमिक स्वतंत्रता पर हमला बताते हुए विश्वविद्यालय के कुलाधिपति राष्ट्रपति प्रणब मुखर्जी से हस्तक्षेप कर उनको पुनः बहाल कराने की मांग की है। राजीव यादव ने कहा कि जब से मोदी सरकार सत्ता में आई है संघ के समाज विरोधी विचारधारा के विरोधियों को शैक्षणिक संस्थानों से हटा कर उनकी जगह संघ और भाजपा कार्यकताओं को बैठाया जा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि इसी रणनीति के तहत इंडियन इंस्टिट्यूट आॅफ माॅस कॅम्यूनिकेशन का डायरेक्टर  के वी सुरेश को बना दिया गया है। जिनकी योग्यता महज इतनी है कि वे विवेकानंद फाउंडेशन के सदस्य हैं। जिसके सदस्यों में गुजरात के मुस्लिम विरोधी जनसंहार को आयोजित करने के आरोपी प्रशासनिक अधिकारी से लेकर नृपेंद्र मिश्रा जैसे घोषित सीआईए एजेंट जैसे लोग हैं। राजीव यादव ने कहा कि विवेकानंद फाउंडेशन से जुड़े रहे राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा सलाहकार अजित डोभाल के बेटे शौर्य डोभाल के निजी संगठन इंडिया

फाउंडेशन भी देश की बौद्धिक पूंजी को भोथरा करने का अभियान चलाए हुए हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि यह अपने आप में जांच का विषय है कि मोदी के अमरीका दौरे के दौरान मेडिसन स्कवायर पर भी शौर्य डोभाल की कम्पनी ही  इवेंट मैनेज करते हैं और वही पिछले दो साल से देश की सुरक्षा पर डीजीपी स्तर के अधिकारियों के सम्मेलन को भी आयोजित करती ही। उन्होंने कहा कि संघ और विदेशी कारपोरेट पूंजी की बड़ी बड़ी लाॅबियां भारतीय मेधा और बौद्धिक शक्ति को अपने अनुरूप ढालने का अभियान चला रही हैं और इसमंे रोड़ा लगने वाले लोगों को जबरन हटा रही हैं।


वहीं इंसाफ अभियान के प्रदेश महासचिव और इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय के छात्र नेता दिनेश चैधरी ने कहा कि बीएचयू जैसे विश्वविद्यालय का यह दुर्भाग्य है कि उसे जीसी त्रिपाठी जैसा वाइस चांस्लर मिला है जो इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्याालय के इकोनेमिक्स विभाग के औसत से भी कम दर्जे के शिक्षक रहे हैं जिन्हें उनके छात्र भी गम्भीरता से नहीं लेते थे। उन्होंने कहा कि जीसी त्रिपाठी सिर्फ संघ के पुराने कार्यकर्ता होने की पात्रता के कारण कुलपति बनाए गए हैं।

Malda always had been agrarian and indigenous.


The Muslim demography is converted Buddhists who were converted after the fall of Pal Dynasty as since then the Sen dynasty ruled Hindu Bengal until Muslim rulers took over. 


Mind you,Ballal sen,not the Muslim rulers of Bengal as misunderstood  launched a Ghar Wapasi campaign then to Hinduize Bengal in Brahamical system.


In reaction,most of East Bengal and Malda Murshidabad Mahayan Buddhists opted for Islam to skip the inherent caste system and untouchability!


Thus the Muslims in Bengal are popularly called NEDE meaning shaven head which recalls their Buddhist identity lost.


Malda is the Gaur,the capital of Shashank who was a Shaiva.


It has got the legacy of mixed demography enjoying peace and fraternity for centuries which has never been disturbed even during direct action in Kolkata, nationwide communal riots after the demolition of Babri Mosque which inflicted Bangladesh as Taslima descried in Lajja,the unilateral version of Bangladesh story.


We have no Salam Azad or Tslima from Malda.



More over,the Muslim demography in Malda and Murshidabad had been the part of the Bengal Peasantry which rejected land settlement act introduced by East India Company.


Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay,SayedMustafa Siraj and Abul Bashar are the  eminent novelists who belong to these areas who never mensioned any communal flare whatsoever.


More Over,tarashankar Bandopadhyay was based in Lovepur,Birbhoom which is not that far away from either Murshidabad or malda.


Rather we have an excellent novel,perhaps the masterpiece by Abul Bashar,AGNIBALAKA which explains the plight of Muslim peasantry in Bengal.I am attaching the link of the full movie AGNIBALAK which is also an excellent cinema.I could not open the link but I  have seen it on screen.Try to get it please!


I have discussed Komal Gandhar,Subarno rekha,Nakshi Kanthar Math and Sojan Badiar Ghat along with Mymensingh Gitika to decode the partition sage.


It began with the riots in Padm Bill Faridpur riot by Maa Kali which blasted off the Dalit Muslim unity in Bengal and Congress betrayed Fazlul Haq who himself ditched his party and the peasantry while leading Shyama Haq ministry.Shama means Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.


Situation worsened as Congress relaunched Muslim League as well as Hindu Mahasabha to have the power in Independent India and Bengal had the Muslim league governments back to back led by Najibullah and Suharawardy.

In 1937, elections were held in British controlled areas in India. In Bengal, the All India Muslim League and the Krishak Praja Party (KPP) won 40 and 35 seats respectively. Leading politician A. K. Fazlul Huq, the leader of the KPP, became the Premier of Bengal with the support of the League, the Europeans (25 seats), the Independent Scheduled Castes (23 seats) and the Independent Caste Hindus (14 seats). His chief opposition was the Indian National Congress and the Hindu Mahasabha. In 1940 Huq moved the Lahore Resolution which called for the creation of a sovereign state in the eastern British India. Huq's tenure was marred by instability and controversies. The Bengal famine of 1943 took place during World War II; and Calcutta and Chittagong were bombed by Japanese air raids. The Huq Ministry collapsed in 1943 as the KPP began to disintegrate and legislative support diminished. He was succeeded by Sir Khawaja Nazimuddin, a member of theDhaka Nawab Family. Nazimuddin was a conservative leader of the Muslim League and earlier served as education minister. His premership saw growing communal divisions.

The 1946 elections saw the Bengal Muslim League win a majority of 113 seats in the 250-member Legislative Assembly. The liberal faction within the League gained control. They were led by figures such as Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy andMohammad Ali Bogra. Suhrawardy became Prime Minister in 1946. He mooted the famous United Bengal proposal which opposed the province's partition and called for an independent state. However, this was rejected by Earl Mountbatten due to pressure from the Congress and hardliners in the Muslim League. Suhrawardy was the last Prime Minister of Bengal upon the Partition of British India in 1947. Subsequently, all three Bengali premiers moved to East Pakistan, where they continued to be influential statesmen. Nazimuddin and Suhrawardy became Prime Ministers of Pakistan, while Huq served as the Chief Minister and Governor of East Pakistan. The three leaders are considered the forerunners of politics in modernBangladesh. Suhrawardy and Huq were mentors to Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.



Even Kolkata had no history of communal riots but Direct Action called by Jinnah and executed by Suharawardy proved decisive to divide India.


Noakhali had sufficient Hindu poupulatiion having Chitagong,Comilla and Sylhet around with Hindu or Buddhist majority.


But Noakhali riots were enough for the transfer of power bargaining,to finalize Cabinet proposals having marginalized Gandhi,Fazlul Haq,Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan,Netaji and Ambedkar who were against partition.


Hence ,the Malda direct action and the Terror Game of the reactionary fascist group opting for unprecedented hate campaign against Muslim community should not be overlooked.


Election equations for the next election in Bengal have made this scenario very very complex as those ruling Bengal and those ruling India from New Delhi have joined hands to polarize Indian people vertically to continue the partition phenomenon and holocaust!


For last few days Anand and me,are discussing the reactionary mode of acts in response to RSS Hate campaign.

The violence is not communal violence nor minority intolerance as miserably reported  in secular reaction, I am afraid to say.


West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Bannerjee is absolutely correct while she claims that it is not communal violence. 


But West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Bannerjee is totally wrong when she describes it a clash between BSF and the JANGANA!


In fact,JANGAN,neither the majority nor the minority is involved anyway in this violence in Kaliachak,a suburb in the outskirts of Malda town with Muslim Majority.

RSS claim of attacks on Hindus is nothing but the plan to use the hate campaign in UP and Bihar specifically and rest of India if not in Bengal where most of the people know the truth of Kaliachak where Muslims in Malda and rest of Bengal would never like to have a son in law or a daughter in law,as Kaliachak is an excluded humanscape by the muslim society.

The demography there is ruled by anti social and even antinational criminal elements which enjoys political protection most and police,administration and even BSF being their best allies.


The scenario is set ablaze as Muslims fear to trade Kaliachak lest they should be involved.


In fact Muslim majority demography in Malada is more or less concetrated in kaliachok, Sujapur, Chanchal, harishchandra pur and Ratua and partially in Pandua.


Moreover, in every Muslim majority area ,the Adivasi locality is a solid base of indigenous unity and noone dares to mislead them.


Mind you,our Adivasi people in Malda region are very awakened people.


Mind you,Kaliachok like situation occurred in Sujapur last year only but it was diluted.


Clash of business interest in smuggling,drug business, trafficking caused the clash between the BSF and a section of the Muslim dominated demography which was never never communal nor the Hindu or Muslim communities in general were involved nor effected in violence and arson, reactions.


Becuse of poltical equations ,the political leaders like MPs,MLAs and Ministers from the region keep mum including most influential  Gani khan family and Congress chief Adhir Chowdhury lest it might have an adverse impact in the next elections.


The Left seems to have lost its world in Malda and rest of Bengal and they have no position wherefrom they would dare to intervene to clean the mess!


It is RSS iniitiative all the way.Late BJP MP and Central minister in NDA ATAL government Tapan Sikdar used Malda as his polyical base way back in nineties.


Since the Muslims in Malda as much as inflicted with insecurity psyche just because of continuous persecution elsewhere as much as in anywhere countrywide,they dare not to stand with anyone speaking conscience an truth.


It helped RSS most because the way is ever lost for progressive elements in Muslim dominated demography anywhere in India and they would be intersted only in Islam,faith,madrasa,Jamaat and so one.


We never tried to break the jinx!

The West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday brushed aside the Kaliachawk violence in Maldadistrict last week as an incident of clash between the BSF and local people. She refused to accept it as a communal incident.

Is it that simple?

Mamata might have been praised and her investment might become the smooth cakewalk and she might have captured Bengal for thirty five years more to beat the Left record,but she lost the case in Malda miserably and the peace zone of Bengal becomes the volcano to destroy Bengal as well as India!Didi cares not.

Didi managing the police and internal security fails to understand how it is yet another communal Fire beyond control reminiscent of Direct Action in Kolkata.It is direct Action to capture Bengal as well as India,mind you.

Hate Campaign unprecedented launched in Bengal!

While there has been speculation that union Home Minister Rajnath Singh may visit Malda, Singh claimed owing to pre-scheduled events, the senior leader will not be able to visit. However, union minister and former party chief Nitin Gadkari is slated to visit Malda.

Dismissing West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's claim that Malda violence not being a communal incident, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday accused her of shielding her party goons involved in various crimes.
"It is utter lie that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee termes the Malda incident a clash between the BSF and locals," BJP leader Siddharthnath Singh said. "Mamata is protecting her own criminals, who are involved in the smuggling of fake currency and drugs at Malda and Kaliachak," Singh said.
According to Singh, BJP chief Amit Shah has formed a three-member panel that will look into the Malda incident. The committee comprises of S.S. Ahluwalia, Bhupender Yadav and V.D. Ram, who will visit the BSF camp and will also interact with the Hindu families in the area to get the detail information.
A massive Muslim rally, called to protest against certain remarks allegedly made by a Hindu leader in Uttar Pradesh about Prophet, turned violent in Malda last week, leading to arson and gunfire. The protestors set on fire dozen vehicles on the national highway and attacked the Kaliachak police station.

However,West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today described last Sunday's mob violence at Malda's Kaliachak as a ''struggle between the BSF and locals''.
Speaking on the incident for the very first time, Mamata blamed the media for misreporting the matter. Mamata said, "It was BSF versus the people. There's a struggle there. The state is not involved. The issue was distorted and misinformed. The locals there had some issues with the BSF."
Mamata also lauded her administration for effectively handling the situation. "It is nothing to do with my party or the State Government or State Police. But we managed it," Banerjee added.

Even on Friday, speaking at the inauguration of the Bengal Global business summit, Mamata had refuted reports of any communal tension in the state.  "Bengal is a peaceful state where we all work together. There is no such communal incident or tension. Somebody might criticise it politically. We don't allow all this." Banerjee had said.

Malda violence unprecedented!Malda is a district with majority Muslim population alone in India which never witnessed communal violence before.

Mind you,Malda had been a strong base of peasant uprising in seventies.Who brought forward this change?

Mind you ,this is not communal violence and it is political violence with vertical polarization?who creates the vertical communal polarization?

It is always politics and it happened since the emergence of communal politics which partitioned India!

This is the investment scenario in Bengal while the reactionary forces have joined hands and all elements of free market economy of ethnic cleansing with most brutal poison lethal as well strengthen the antinational front all on the name of blind religious nationalism under the governance of fascism!

And the hate campaign is beyond  control! as the racist hegemony endorses it!

Why should Malda be believed to be a hub of a fake currency racket and according to the National Investigation Agency, 90 per cent of the fake currency that enters India from Pakistan via Bangladesh comes in from Malda which borders the neighbouring country?

আবারও বর্গি আইছে দ্যাশে।বর্গি হইলে সবই পাইবে।মস্তানিওজুটিবে মিতরোঁ।আগুন জ্বালাও গ্রামে গন্জে।বাংলায় সুনামি লাগাও।তার পর যত চাই লাগাও।সবকিছু বেআইনি আইনি করার সংস্কারে সত্কারে স্বর্গবাস অনিবার্য।খাইবে হাগিবে নাচিবে কুদিবে জিবেত শতেক বছর।বাকি সব নিমিত্তমাত্র।মরিবেই মিতরোঁ।
মিতরোঁ,বাংলু খাইয়া থাকিও সুখে,ভুতের কিল হজম করিযা রহিও পরম আনন্দে,পাড়া পাড়ায় তরলবত তরল সুখের বন্যা বহাইছে মা জগতজননী।সেই মায়েরই ভক্ত আমি বুঝিলে না বাঙালি-বুঝিলে না কত ধানে কত চাল।বুঝাবুঝি বোঝা অতিশয় ভারি।তার চেয়ে ভালো কারণবারি। মড়ার খুলি চারিদিকে খোলার মুচি,ধর নিকুচি।মারো টান,বুঝিছি,দিনকাল ভালো আজকাল বোঝে নি বাঙালি।ঠিকমত দিল্লী দেখেনি,হাইকোর্ট যত না দেখেছে বাহাল,তাই মনে মনে কাবাঁকাঙাল।

মিতরোঁ,খাইবে মাছভাত,শুনবে মন কি বাত,পড়িবে আনন্দ,মনের সুখে খাইবে ।হাগিবে পরম আনন্দে।প্রথমাতেই সম্ভেগ অতি আবশ্যিক হোক না প্রাথমিক,দাঁড়াক বা না দাঁড়াক,পহলে সম্ভোগ,তারপর সমাধি।ধ্যানস্থ মুদ্রা থাকা চাই।মশলা চাই।মসলা নৈব নৈব চ।মুদ্দত বিত গই,মুদ্দা নেহি কোই।আচ্ছে দিন আ গয়ে।যুদ্ধ হয়নাি বহুকাল।হোক কুরুক্ষেত্র হোক।

মিতরোঁ,ধর্মযুদ্ধ যদিও চলিচে ভব্য রামমন্দির লাগিয়া বাবরি বিধ্ংস থেকে গুজরাত,সিখ সংহার থেকে ভুপাল গ্যাস ট্রাজেডি,শেক্সপিয়ারের কমেডি না হোক কমোড অথি (দক্ষিণী ডাবিঁ) স্বচ্ছল আরো আছে স্বচ্ছতা অভিযান।কিছু হোক না হোক,শৌচালয় হইয়াছে দুয়ারে দুয়ারে। ঘরে ঘরে সেলিব্রেটি,আইকন।মিতরোঁ,হাগিবে মনের সুখে।ঘরে বাইরে হাগিবে।চ্যানেলে হাগিবে।প্যানেলে হাগিবে।জাগিছে দেখিও বাঙালি।

জমুরে, ক্যামন খেল দেখাইলাম।সেই পেশওয়া বাজিরাওএর মস্তানিতে ভুলিলে আপাদমস্তক।ভাস্কর পন্ডিত ভুলিলে,ভুলিলে বর্গী এলো দ্যাশে,খাজনা দিবো কিসে।মস্তানি মাদক কুটির শিল্প।আসলে ইহাই শিল্পায়ন মা জগতজননীর কৃপা অশেষ।সঙ্গে হামি আছি বিরন্চি বাবা,টাইট্যানিক বাবা কিংবা রকেটবাবা কিংবা জাপানি তেল বাবা, ভিয়াগ্রা বড়ই কীমতি,গ্যাসের চেয়ে দামি,তেলের চেয়ে দামি।দাম বাড়তেছেই।যুদ্ধের প্রস্তুতি সারা।হিন্দুস্তান পাকিস্তানে ভুলিও আসল মুদ্দা।

মিতরোঁ,বিপ্লব ভুলিলে না তবু কাবাঁ বঙ্গীয় জনগণ সেকুলার সেকুলার প্রগতি প্রগতি মখে মুখে,হ্রদমাঝারে রেখেছে সেই রাম,আসলে আসলি বজরংবলি বাঙালি,কেহ বুঝিল না,বুঝেছি আমি মিতরোঁ,দোনো হাতোঁ মে লাজড্ডু দিতাছি,দিল্লির লাড্ডু সঙ্গে কোলকাতার রসগোল্লা,শুনছি নাকি রয়েছেন বিধানসভায়।যত চমকদার চেহারা,সবাই ন্যাতা।ফালতু জনতা লাগে কোন কাজে।যা সব ব্যাটা মায়ের ভোগে যা।গ্রোথ বোঝোনি,গ্রোথ হইল গিয়া অ্যাবনর্মাল গ্রোথ,মানে বুঝতাছো,মিতরোঁ।

মিতরোঁ,1962 তে কম্যুনিস্ট আন্দোলন ভাগ হল কিন্তু ভারত বাগের মত হিন্দুস্তান পাকিস্তান হয় নাই।ইন্দিরা স্পর্শ দোষও কাটিয়াছে।

মিতরোঁ,ড্রোন আছে।সেন্সর আছে।সিবিআই আছে।র রমরম আছে।এনআইএ আছে।আছে সিবিআই।মোসাদও আছে।মনে লয় নাকি, সর্ষে হইল তো ভুতও রহিয়াছে।ভূত যেমন আছে।ভুতের রাজাও আছে।আছে তিনবর।তিন বর জবর তিন বর।ধর্ষণ অবাধ।গুন্ডামি অবাধ।নৈরাজ্য অবাধ।লগ্নি আমদানি ধায়ে।আইন সঙ্গত হইতাছে বেআইনি সবকিছু। মানবিকতা নাগরিকতা সবই রাষ্ট্রদ্রোহ।সানি লিওন সহিষ্ণুতা মৌচাক।মধুচক্র ঘরে বাহিরে।নিরপত্তায় ধর্ষণ অবাধ শিশু শ্রম অবাধ।অবাধ মাদক।অবাধ পাচার।অবাধ সবৈদিকী সহিংসতা নরক।

অসহিষ্ণুতা যেমন আছে,ভোটব্যান্কও তেমনি বহাল তবিযত মিতরোঁ।ভোটের লাগিয়া আড়াআঢ়ি ধর্মোন্মাদি বিভাজন ভারত ভাগ বারম্বার সেমনিই আছে।শহীদের কাকে কাকে জানো ভাই,সব গ্যাছে মায়ের ভোগে।যারা মোচ্ছব করিয়াছে নরমাংসের উত্সবে।আজও
গণতন্ত্রের উত্সব তাহাদেরই সাজে।টিপু হিন্দুত্বের দুশমন।বাজিরাও মস্তানিতে হয়ত বা শিবাজিও দুশমন।শহীদ হইল গিয়া দুশমন আজ।

সুর্য্য সেন,খুদিরাম.যতীন দাস,ভগত সিং,নেতাজি ভোটে কি লাগে,দ্যাখো হাড়ির হাল শহীদ পরিবারে।গদ্দাররা তখন মজে সে থে,আজও সাড্ডা নাল মস্তি সে জিয়েঙ্গে।সিনেমা বেদখল।শুধু ডাবিং ফ্রেম টু প্রেম ডিটো।শিল্প সংস্কৃতি সাহিত্য সব লাগসই লাগানো। সাংহবাদিকতার গরু গাছে গাছে।মৌজ সে রহো।বজরঙ্গি চাহিয়ে।

आज जबकि दक्षिणपंथी शासक परिवार में आंबेडकर के लिए बेपनाह प्यार उमड़ रहा है और वह अथाह भक्ति दिखा रहा है, ऐसे में आंबेडकर के प्रति बेधड़क अपमानों की बौछार करते हुए किसी ऐसे इंसान को सुनना दिलचस्प है, जिसको हिंदू संस्कृति और परंपरा की महानता के सिद्धांत बघारने के लिए जाना जाता रहा है. एस.एन. बालगंगाधर की हालिया ब्राह्मणवादी करतूतों के बारे में बता रहे हैं आनंद तेलतुंबड़े. अनुवाद: रेयाज उल हक


इंडिया टुडे के वेब संस्करण डेलियो.इन पर 27 नवंबर को बेल्जियम के घेंट यूनिवर्सिटी के एक प्रोफेसर एस.एन. बालगंगाधर का एक लेख प्रकाशित हुआ जिसका शीर्षक था "व्हिच इनटॉलरेंस इज ग्रोइंग इन इंडिया?". यह उस गुस्से के जवाब में लिखा गया था, जो हैदराबाद में इंग्लिश एंड फॉरेन लैंग्वेजेज यूनिवर्सिटी (एफ्लु) में एक अंतरराष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन में बोलते हुए डॉ. आंबेडकर के प्रति अपमानजनक बातें कहने पर उनके खिलाफ पैदा हुआ था. अपनी बातों पर माफी मांगने के बजाए उन्होंने आंबेडकर के प्रति अपनी अवमानना को जायज ठहराया और यह कहते हुए उसको दोहराया कि 'उनकी समझदारी आलिया भट्ट से भी बदतर है.'ऐसा घटिया अपमान और बदसलूकी आंबेडकर के लिए नई नहीं है, लेकिन इसके पहले कभी भी किसी सार्वजनकि बौद्धिक मंच पर किसी ने उनके लिए ऐसी गंदी भाषा का इस्तेमाल नहीं किया था. आज जबकि दक्षिणपंथी शासक परिवार में आंबेडकर के लिए बेपनाह प्यार उमड़ रहा है और वह अथाह भक्ति दिखा रहा है, ऐसे में आंबेडकर के प्रति बेधड़क अपमानों की बौछार करते हुए किसी ऐसे इंसान को सुनना दिलचस्प है, जिसको हिंदू संस्कृति और परंपरा की महानता के सिद्धांत बघारने के लिए जाना जाता रहा है.

बालगंगाधर शायद कभी भी संघ परिवार से अपने जुड़ाव को स्वीकार नहीं करें जैसा कि उनके जैसे अनेक लोग करते हैं, लेकिन वे बार बार अपने ब्राह्मण होने की बात को कबूल करते हैं और एक बेकार के घमंड के साथ इसे दोहराते हैं. इसके पहले अरुण शौरी ने – और यह बात कहनी पड़ेगी कि बेवकूफी में वे गंगाधर से कमतर ही हैं – अपनी किताब वर्शिपिंग फाल्स गॉड में अपने घटिया तथ्यों को नई खोज के आभामंडल के साथ पेश किया था, कि आंबेडकर भारत के संविधान के निर्माता नहीं. उन्हें और दलितों के बीच उनके अनेक आलोचकों को यह बात समझ में नहीं आई कि इस नुक्ते पर इतनी मेहनत करके वे हवा में तलवार भांज रहे थे, क्योंकि खुद आंबेडकर ने ही इस संविधान को नकार दिया था और खुद को एक किराए के लेखक (हैक) के रूप में इस्तेमाल करने की ब्राह्मणवादी साजिश को उजागर किया था. शौरी ने यह भी कहा कि उनका संघ परिवार से कोई रिश्ता नहीं था लेकिन यह तथ्य अपनी जगह कायम रहा कि उन्हें अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी सरकार के नेतृत्व में भाजपा की पहली कैबिनेट में सबसे ज्यादा सक्रिय मंत्रालयों में से एक का मुखिया चुना गया था. बालगंगाधर भी संघ परिवार से अपना कोई जुड़ाव नहीं होने का दावा करेंगे, लेकिन वे जिस जुबान में बोल रहे हैं और जो दलीलें वे पेश कर रहे हैं, वे अनजाने में ही इस सच्चाई को उजागर कर रही हैं कि वे भी उसी गिरोह से ताल्लुक रखते हैं, जो अपने हिंदुत्व को धर्मनिरपेक्ष मुल्लम्मे में छिपा कर रखता है. भाजपाई कुनबा आंबेडकर का गुणगान करने के उल्लास में जो ज्यादतियां कर रहा है, उस दौर में यह घटना ब्राह्मणवादी खेमे में आंबेडकर के प्रति गहराई तक जड़ें जमा कर बैठी नफरत पर से परदा उठाती है.

बालगंगाधर जिस तीन दिवसीय अंतरराष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन में बोल रहे थे, वह 'देरिदा के धर्म अध्ययन में कानून की ताकत और ताकत के कानून'पर था और इस तरह आंबेडकर या आंबेडकरी लोग इस सम्मेलन का विषय नहीं थे, सिवाय इसके कि शायद उन्हें देरिदा के नकारात्मक धर्मविज्ञान की मिसाल बताया जाता. दूसरे वक्ताओं ने उनका कोई जिक्र नहीं किया. लेकिन बालगंगाधर पर तो उन्माद सवार हो गया, उन्होंने आंबेडकर को बेवकूफ कहा और इस पर हैरानी जताई कि कोलंबिया यूनिवर्सिटी ने कैसे उन्हें डॉक्टरेट की डिग्री दे दी. संयोग से उन्हें उतने ही प्रतिष्ठित एक दूसरे संस्थान लंदन स्कूल ऑफ इकोनॉमिक्स के बारे में याद दिलाने की जरूरत है, जिसने आंबेडकर को डॉक्टर ऑफ साइंस की डिग्री दी थी, जो इत्तेफाक से किसी भारतीय को दी गई पहली डिग्री थी. उन्होंने एक और इंसान को बेवकूफ कहा (उन्होंने नाम नहीं लिया, लेकिन लोगों ने अंदाजा लगा लिया कि ये नरेंद्र जाधव के बारे में था, जिन्होंने आंबेडकर की प्रमुख रचनाओं को तीन खंडों में संपादित किया है). खैर, ऐसा हो सकता है कि आंबेडकर की किताबों को संपादन के नाम पर बहुतायत में गैरपेशेवर रूप से फिर से पेश करना एक दोषमुक्त बौद्धिक काम न हो. फिर उन्होंने इस्लाम और ईसाइयत पर अपमानजनक टिप्पणियां कीं. उनके भाषण में गाली-गलौज वाली टिप्पणियों की भरमार थी, वह उस विद्वत्ता से खाली था, जो सम्मेलन के विषय और रुतबे के लिए जरूरी थी. मिसाल के लिए वे हर उस चीज के लिए 'बुलशिट' (बकवास) शब्द का इस्तेमाल करते रहे, जिसे आम तौर पर लोगों द्वारा पवित्र माना जाता है, शायद ऐसा वे देरिदा के नकारवाद (अपोफेटिशिज्म) को समझाने के लिए ऐसा कर रहे हों. उन्होंने मेजबान एफ्लू तक को नहीं बख्शा और उसे पागलखाना कह दिया, जाहिर है कि उनके हमले का निशाना यह था कि एफ्लू के फैकल्टी और छात्रों में गैर-ब्राह्मणों का प्रतिनिधित्व तुलनात्मक रूप से बेहतर है. अगले दिन, जब कुछ वरिष्ठ प्रोफेसरों ने जाति और छुआछूत के उनके हवालों पर टोका, तो उन्होंने सीधे सीधे उन पर तीखा हमला बोल दिया और टिप्पणी की कि छात्रों को ऐसे में अपने भविष्य की चिंता करनी चाहिए, जब 'जाति प्रमाणपत्र वाले'नाकाबिल, बेवकूफ 'गधे'उन्हें पढ़ा रहे हों. जाहिर है कि उनका इशारा दलित, आदिवासी और ओबीसी की तरफ था. इसी तरह, उन्होंने मुस्लिम फैकल्टी द्वारा किए गए एक सवाल का जवाब देते वक्त यह कहते हुए अपनी नफरत उगली कि वे (मुस्लिम फैकल्टी) आतंक फैला रहे थे.

सुनने वाले छात्र और फैकल्टी दोनों ही उनके इस खुलेआम जातिवादी और सांप्रदायिक बयानों से बेचैन थे. बालगंगाधर बेशर्मी से यह दोहराते रहे कि वे एक ब्राह्मण हैं. खास तौर से हैदराबाद जैसी जगह में ऐसी बात कहना बड़ा दुस्साहस भरा था, जो अपने ऐसे कैंपसों के लिए जाना जाता है जहां दलित प्रतिरोधों का एक इतिहास रहा है. उनका पूरा व्याख्यान आरक्षित श्रेणी के छात्रों और फैकल्टी के खिलाफ न सिर्फ हतोत्साहित कर देने वाली टिप्पणियों से भरा हुआ था, बल्कि वह आईपीसी की 295 (ए), 154 (ए) और 298 धाराओं और उत्पीड़न (निवारण) अधिनियम की विभिन्न धाराओं के तहत सजा के काबिल भी है. हालांकि एफ्लु प्रशासन की तरफ से कोई सवाल नहीं किया गया, जिसने उनके अपराधों पर उन्हें रोका नहीं और न ही उनके खिलाफ कोई कानूनी कार्रवाई की. दूसरों की प्रतिक्रियाएं भी खासी देरी से, आयोजन के एक हफ्ते से भी ज्यादा देरी से आईं, जिसमें 11 नवंबर को एफ्लु के फैकल्टी सदस्यों द्वारा उप कुलपति के नाम एक याचिका दी गई. हालांकि डेक्कन हेराल्ड ने 6 नवंबर को ही एक छोटी सी खबर छापी थी कि उस्मानिया के छात्र बालगंगाधर के खिलाफ पुलिस में शिकायत दर्ज करने पर विचार कर रहे थे. गुस्सा बढ़ रहा था और इसी के जवाब में बालगंगाधर ने वह लेख लिखा, जिसका जिक्र ऊपर किया गया है, जिसमें उन्होंने अपने उद्दंडता भरे बयानों के लिए आंबेडकरियों द्वारा नाराजगी जताए जाने पर शिकायत की थी. इसको असहिष्णुता कहते हुए उन्हें यह बात समझ में नहीं आई कि अगर दलित असहिष्णु रहे होते तो उन्होंने उन पर मौके पर ही हमला कर दिया होता.

असहिष्णुता नहीं, आतंकवाद

सबसे पहले तो डॉ. नरेंद्र दाभोलकर, कॉमरेड गोविंद पानसरे और डॉ. कलबुर्गी की हत्याओं को या फिर आम नागरिकों के खिलाफ हिंसा और जानलेवा हमलों को (जैसे कि उत्तर प्रदेश के दादरी और जम्मू-कश्मीर के उधमपुर वगैरह जगहों पर हुए हैं) असहिष्णुता कहना गलत है और उनकी गंभीरता को घटा कर देखना है. इसके लिए सही शब्द आतंकवाद है. क्योंकि संगठित गिरोहों द्वारा की गई इस सामाजिक हिंसा में, जिसमें राज्य की मिलीभगत है, कुछेक व्यक्तियों या समूहों के व्यवहार की विशेषता नहीं है, जिसमें वे अपने से भिन्न विचारों के खिलाफ असहिष्णुता दिखा रहे हैं, बल्कि यह उनका विरोध करने का साहस दिखाने वालों के खिलाफ एक आतंकी कार्रवाई है. बालगंगाधर ने अपनी अति-समझदारी की झलक देते हुए दादरी में पीट पीट कर की गई हत्याओं को जायज ठहराया, जिसमें इन मनगढ़ंत तथ्यों का उपयोग किया गया था एक दूसरे आदमी की गोशाला से एक गाय चुराने के लिए मोहम्मद अखलाक को पीट पीट कर मार डाला गया और उनके बेटे दानिश को क्रूरता से पीटा गया था. वे इसी के लायक थे, क्योंकि प्राचीन यूरोप और अमेरिका में मवेशी चुराने के लिए लोगों को पीट पीट कर मार दिया जाता था. बालगंगाधर ने ऐसी ही बेवकूफी भरी टिप्पणी कलबुर्गी के बारे में की, कि वे खुद ही एक असहिष्णु आदमी थे. बालगंगाधर ने उनकी 'नैतिक और बौद्धिक ईमानदारी'पर सवाल उठाए, उनके मुताबिक जिनके आचरण से 'मिथकीय छोटा राजन भी शर्मिंदा'हो जाएगा. उन्होंने यह तोहमत भी लगाई कि कलबुर्गी की हत्या के पीछे उनके ये कथित दुराचार भी हो सकते हैं. हम पाते हैं कि यहां उनकी समझदारी की बानगियों में दिख रही उनकी उपमाओं की गुणवत्ता और कुल मिला कर उनकी दलीलें पुख्ता तरीके से उन्हें एक बेवकूफ के रूप में स्थापित कर रही हैं. अगर नहीं तो फिर जिन सैकड़ों बुद्धिजीवियों, कलाकारों, साहित्यकारों ने प्रतीकात्मक विरोध करते हुए इन करतूतों में मिलीभगत के खिलाफ सरकार को अवार्ड लौटाए, वे बेवकूफ थे, वे ऐसे अनाड़ी थे जो 'इंसानी इतिहास की भारी अज्ञानता'को जाहिर कर रहे थे. कहा जाए तो 135 से अधिक वैज्ञानिक भी बेवकूफ हैं, जिन्होंने भारी तबाही की तस्वीर खींची है और कहा है कि देश में शांति और मेल-जोल को 'हाल में बढ़ गई संकीर्णतावादी और धर्मांध कार्रवाइयों के एक सिलसिले ने खतरे में डाल दिया है'! ज्ञान की गठरी तो सिर्फ बालगंगाधर के ब्राह्मण के पास ही है!

'क्या भारत में कोई जाति व्यवस्था है?'जैसे बेवकूफी भरे सवाल उठाने और 'वर्ल्ड्स विदाउट व्यूज एंड व्यूज विदाउट वर्ल्ड्स' (यह उनकी पीएच.डी. थीसिस का शीर्षक है) की लफ्फाजी करने से आगे उनमें ऐसी कौन सी समझदारी पाई जाती है, जिसमें परंपरागत रूप से ब्राह्मण माहिर बताए जाते हैं. जाति के सवाल पर, उनका जवाब नकारात्मक था और उन्होंने ब्रिटिश मिशनरियों पर इल्जाम लगाया कि वे अपने साथ भ्रष्ट पुरोहितों और कैथोलिक धर्म की दूसरी बुराइयों में सराबोर ईसाई धर्मशास्त्र और खास कर प्रोटेस्टेंट धर्मशास्त्र ले आए, जिसने भारत के समाज की व्याख्या एक जातीय समाज के रूप में की. यानी पूरी श्रमण परंपरा ने जिस जाति के खिलाफ विद्रोह किया और हिंदू धर्मशास्त्रों की बहुसंख्या ने जिसको जोरदार तरीके से बचाव किया, वह ईसाई पुरोहितों की मनगढ़ंत और कपोल कल्पना थी, जिसको पता नहीं क्यों हम सबने सच मान लिया! उन्होंने ऐसी बकवास शिमोगा के कुवेंपु यूनिवर्सिटी स्थित सेंटर फॉर द स्टडी ऑफ लोकल कल्चर्स के जरिए फैलाई, जहां के वे निदेशक थे. उनके 'शोध'के छुपे हुए ब्राह्मणवादी मंसूबे को अनेक लोगों ने उजागर किया है. उनके द्वारा और उन पर लिखे गए अनेक लेखों पर महज एक सरसरी निगाह भी इस बात को उजागर कर देगी कि उनका ताल्लुक 'सनातन धर्म अमर रहे गिरोह'से है. वे इस बात के लिए पर्याप्त शातिर हैं कि अपनी बातों का मकड़जाल बुनकर पश्चिम को बेवकूफ बना सकें जो बैठ कर उनकी बातें सुने और उनको एक प्रकांड विद्वान समझकर उन पर गौर करे. लेकिन गलती मत कीजिए; वे परिवार के नकली विद्वानों में से हैं, जो अपनी पतनशील परियोजना को बौद्धिकता का जामा पहना रहे हैं.

आंबेडकर की बात

इसमें कोई हैरानी की बात नहीं है कि ऐसे एक आदमी के लिए आंबेडकर तो एक अभिशाप ही होंगे, जिन्होंने ब्राह्मणवाद को चुनौती दी थी. आंबेडकर बेकार की लफ्फाजियों को विद्वत्ता के रूप में पेश करने के फेर में कभी नहीं पड़े. उन्होंने इस दुनिया के बालगंगाधरों की बैठे-ठाले की पुरोहिती के उलट, आजादी, बराबरी और भाईचारे पर आधारित एक समाज की स्थापना के मकसद की दिशा में सिद्धांत और व्यवहार को एक साथ मिलाते हुए मानवता के बुनियादी मुद्दों पर गौर किया. एक इंसान के रूप में आंबेडकर गलत हो सकते हैं, वे बहुत गलत भी हो सकते हैं. लेकिन उन्हें बेवकूफ कहना खुद सिर्फ और सिर्फ अपनी बेवकूफी को ही जाहिर करना है. आंबेडकर पर टिप्पणी करने के लिए किसी के पास ऊंची बौद्धिक ईमानदारी और सच्चाई होना जरूरी है, जो जाहिर है कि बालगंगाधर में नहीं है. वे 'जाति प्रमाणपत्र वाले गधे'कह कर अपनी नफरत दिखा सकते हैं, लेकिन उनमें यह समझने की साधारण बुद्धि भी नहीं है कि प्रतिभा (मेरिट) की यह घिसी-पिटी दलील अपने पैरवीकारों पर ही पलट कर भारी पड़ती रही है. जबकि आरक्षण का समर्थन नहीं है, जिसको हमेशा मैंने ठोस अर्थ में दलितों के लिए नुकसानदेह माना है, लेकिन गुलामी का इतिहास प्रतिभा की इस दलील के पुर्जे पुर्जे बिखेर देता है, जो प्राकृतिक संपदा से भरपूर इस उपमहाद्वीप में कथित (ऊंची जाति के) प्रतिभावान लोगों की देन था. उन्हें अपने इस अतीत पर शर्मिंदा होना चाहिए, न कि अपनी हिंदुत्व परियोजना के जरिए उसको फिर से रचने की कोशिश करनी चाहिए.

यह सिर्फ एक बदजुबान बालगंगाधर से निबटने का मामला नहीं है, जिससे एक आम दलित भी आसानी से निबट सकता है. यह इस बात को जानने का मामला है कि पूरा हिंदुत्व गिरोह सचमुच में किस बात का प्रतिनिधित्व करता है. एक तरफ तो यह उन सभी जगहों पर स्मारक बना-बना कर आंबेडकर की पूजा शुरू करना चाहता है, जहां जहां उन्होंने पांव रखे थे, लेकिन वहीं दूसरी तरफ यह उनकी बौद्धिकता को नकार कर, उन्हें बौद्धिक रूप से मामूली इंसान बना देना चाहता है. असल में यह हिंदुत्व का यह बुनियादी चरित्र है जिसे बालगंगाधर ने अनजाने में ही उजागर कर दिया है, जिसकी आम तौर पर जनता के लिए और खास तौर से दलितों के लिए अहमियत है. हजार सिरों वाला यह गिरोह ऐसे अनेक बालगंगाधरों को बेलगाम छोड़ देगा ताकि वे अपने भड़काऊ बयानों से हमारे सब्र का इम्तहान लें और फिर इसके नतीजों से खुद को दूर कर लेगा. यह भारत में अवर्णों को मिथ्या और औपनिवेशिक साजिश बता कर पूरी आंबेडकरी परियोजना को ही नाकाम कर देना चाहता है. यह विद्वत्ता नहीं है, यह गोएबल्स की वह बदनाम तरकीब है कि बड़े बड़े झूठों को बार बार दोहराते रहो जब तक वे सच न लगने लगें और आखिर में जनता द्वारा सच्चाई के रूप में कबूल कर लिए जाएं.

Brahmanical Arrogance

On 27 November DailyO.in, a web edition of the India Today, published an article by one S.N. Balgangadhara, who is a professor in Ghent University in Belgium titled as "Which intolerance is growing in India?." It was a response to the indignation spreading against him for his abusive references to Dr Ambedkar while speaking in an international conference at the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad. Instead of being apologetic, he justified his contempt for Ambedkar and repeated his ridicule saying that "he outshines the genius of Alia Bhatt." Pedestrian insults and invectives as such are not new for Ambedkar but never before anyone in any public intellectual forum had used such a foul language for him. While the right wing ruling establishment is mouthing limitless love and displaying inexhaustible devotion to Ambedkar, it is interesting to hear someone known to be engaged with theorizing greatness of Hindu culture and tradition showering abuses on Ambedkar with impunity.  

 

Balgangadhara may never admit association with the Sangh Pariwar as many of his ilk do but he has repeatedly admitted being a Brahman, and that too with worthless pride. Before that Arun Shouri-- let it be said in his favour that he was not as idiotic as Gangadhara -- in his Worshipping False God had marshaled his pedestrian facts with an aura of discovery to argue that Ambedkar was not a maker of the constitution of India. He and many of his detractors among Dalits did not realize that their belabouring the point was completely off the mark as Ambedkar himself had disowned the constitution and exposed the Brahmanic conspiracy to use him as a hack. He had also said that he did not have any association with the Sangh Pariwar but the fact remained that he was a chosen one to head the most happening ministry to be, the ministry of disinvestment, in the first ever BJP's cabinet under Atal Behari Bajpeyi. Balgangadhara too would claim no connection with the Sangh Pariwar but the language he speaks in and arguments he proffers inadvertently reveal the truth that he belonged to the same tribe that masked its Hindutva with a secular veneer. In the euphoric excesses the BJP establishment has been committing in eulogy to Ambedkar, this episode uncovered the deep rooted hatred for Ambedkar in the Brahmanic camp.


Balgangadhar's Antics


The three days international conference in which Balgangadhara spoke was on "the force of law and the law of force on Derrida's theology" and hence obviously Ambedkar or Ambedkrites did not constitute the subject matter except perhaps in illustration of Derrida's negative theology. Other speakers for instance did not bring them in. But he went berserk calling Ambedkar an idiot and wondered how Columbia University awarded doctorates to him. Incidentally, he needs to be reminded of another, equally hallowed institution, London School of Economics also awarding him a Doctor of Science, incidentally the first one to be given to any Indian. He also called a person (he did not name him but people guessed it was Narendra Jadhav who brought out three volume of Ambedkar's essential writings) an idiot. Well, it may be so as a plethora of unethical reproductions of Ambedkar's books in the guise of editing are truly not defensible intellectual works. Then he made derogatory remarks on Islam and Christianity. His speech was fraught with abusive slangs bereft of scholarship becoming of the theme and standing of the conference. For instance, he kept on using bullshit for all that is generally held sacred by the people, perhaps to illustrate the apophaticism in Derrida. He did not spare even the host in EFLU calling it a madhouse obviously directing his ire against its faculty and students having relatively better representation of the non-Brahmans. The next day, when some senior professors engaged with his references to caste and untouchability, he directly mounted vitriolic attack on them and remarked that the students should think about their future when they were taught by incompetent, idiotic "assess with caste certificates", obviously referring to Dalits, Adivasis and OBCs. Likewise, he spilled his scorn while responding to a question by a Muslim faculty saying that he was spreading terror.

 

Both students and faculty in his audience were aghast at such brazenly casteist and communalist statements. He unashamedly kept repeating that he was a Brahman. It was particularly audacious to speak at a place like Hyderabad known for its campuses that have history of Dalit resistance. The entire lecture was replete with not only demoralizing remarks against the reserved category of students and faculty but punishable in law under IPC sections 295 (A), 154 (A), and 298, and various sections of the Atrocity Act. There was no question, however, of EFLU authorities, which did nothing to stop him committing these crimes, resorting to legal action against him. The reaction of others also came quite late, more than a week after the event, by way of a petition made by the EFLU faculty to the Vice Chancellor on 11 November although the Deccan Chronicle had carried small news on 6 November itself that Osmania students contemplated to lodge a police complaint against him. In response to this building of anger, Balgangadhara wrote his above said response complaining against the Ambedkarites for their expression of indignation for his unruly statements. Terming that as intolerance, he did not realize that if Dalits had been intolerant, he would have been physically attacked right there.  


Terrorism, not Intolerance


Firstly, calling murders of Dr Narendra Dabholkar, Com. Govind Pansare and Dr Kalburgi or violence and fatal assaults on ordinary citizens (as in Dadri, UP; Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir), etc., as intolerance is erroneous and gross understatement. The right word for it is terrorism. Because this social violence by organized gangs backed by the complicit state is not just a behavioural characteristic of certain individuals or groups as non-toleration of the opinions different from one's own but the terrorist acts against those who dare to oppose them. Balgangadhara amply gave a glimpse of his hyper wisdom justifying lynching of Dadri murder using fabricated facts that Mohammad Akhlaq was lynched and his son Danish was brutally beaten for having stolen a cow from the stables of another person. They deserved it as people were lynched in ancient Europe and America for stealing cattle. He made similar foolish remarks about Kalburgi that he was himself an intolerant man and also went on suspecting his "moral and intellectual integrity" that put "the legendary Chhota Rajan to shame." He insinuates that his murder might have had to do with his allegedly loose morals. The quality of simile and his overall arguments in these snippets of wisdom would rather firmly establish him as an idiot. Instead, the hundreds of intellectuals, artists, litterateurs who returned their awards to the government in symbolic protest against its complicity in these acts were rather idiots, ignoramuses exhibiting "an abysmal ignorance of human history". More than 135 scientists who had drawn a picture of apocalypse, saying peace and harmony in the country are being "threatened by a rash of sectarian and bigoted acts that have recently escalated" were also idiots to say so! It is only the Brahman in Balagagadhara who was an epitome of wisdom!


What is his claim to wisdom beyond raising such idiotic questions as "Is there a caste system in India?" and indulging in quibbling of words like "Worlds without Views and Views without the World" (an extended title of his Ph D thesis), which the Brahmans are traditionally good at. As for the caste question, his answer is in negative accusing the British missionaries who brought with them the Christian theology, especially the Protestant theology, mired by its corrupt clergies and other evils of Catholic religion, having interpreted Indian society as caste society. So the castes against which the entire shraman tradition revolted and which the majority of Hindu Dharmshastras vehemently protected were a chimera, a figment of imagination of the Christian clergies which were inexplicably taken as real by all of us! He dished out such nonsense through the Centre for the Study of Local Cultures (CSLC) at Kuvempu University, at Shimoga, of which he was a director. The hidden Brahmanic schema of his 'research' was exploded by many. A casual glance at the various write-ups by and about him reveals that he belongs to the "long live Sanatana Dharma brigade". He is shrewd enough to weave a cobweb of words to fool the West to sit up and take notice of him as profound scholar. But make no mistake; he basically belongs to the pseudo scholars' brigade of the Pariwar to intellectualize its decadent project.


Return to Ambedkar


It is no surprise then that Ambedkar who challenged Brahmanism will be an anathema to such a person. Ambedkar did not indulge in sterile quibbling of words passed as scholarship; he dealt with substantive issues of humanity through the integration of theory and practice towards the goal of establishing a society based on liberty, equality, fraternity, unlike arm-chaired pontifications of Balgangadharas of this world. Ambedkar may be wrong, grossly wrong, as any human. But calling him an idiot is just exhibiting one's own idiocy. To comment on Ambedkar demands high degree of intellectual honesty and integrity, which apparently Balgangadhara does not possess. He is contemptuous of "asses with caste certificates" but does not have an elementary intellect to understand that this hackneyed argument of merit has repeatedly boomeranged at those who made it. While it is not the justification of reservations, which I always considered having been detrimental to Dalits in net terms, but this merit argument could be simply busted by the history of slavery the so called (upper caste) meritorious people gave this subcontinent so rich in natural endowment. They should be ashamed of their past but instead they seek to recreate it through their hindutva project.

        

It is not the matter of dealing with some abusive Balagangadhara, who can be easily dealt with by any ordinary Dalit. It is a matter of knowing what the entire hindutva camp really stands for. On the one hand it seeks to create a cult of Ambedkar by memorializing everything that he set his foot on but on the other it condemns him as intellectual nobody. It is this hindutva core Balagangadhara inadvertently exposed, which is of value to the people in general and Dalits in particular. This hydra-headed camp would unleash Balagangadharas to test out waters with provocative statements and distance itself from its consequence. It wanted to puncture the entire Ambedkarite project by making out castes in India as mithya and colonial conspiracy. It is no scholarship; it is the Goebbels's infamous stratagem to keep repeating a big enough lie until it is taken as plausible and eventually accepted by people as truth.

About the Festival

KPFF is a no-sponsorship, people-funded film festival, now in its third year, organised on the maxim of 'people's culture with people's support', which means it is organised fully by individual contributions from people and by voluntary labour and planning of film society activists and the film audience. No tickets or passes are required to attend. People are welcome to contribute whatever they can or like to support the festival.

The festival is part of the 'cinema of resistance' movement, a India-wide grassroots cinema movement. In Kolkata, the KPFF is organized by the People's Film Collective, a film collective aligned with people's struggles in the country. 

KPFF focuses on documentary and other cinema which is people-centric and hopes to create a platform where activists, filmmakers, audiences meet to watch and discuss films together, and exchange dialogue on the burning political and social issues of the day.

We dedicate the Third Kolkata People's Film Festival to people's poet and rebel, Vidrohi.

I was born and brought up in a resettled Bengali refugee family in Dineshpur refugee area and passed my high school from Zila Parishad High School Dineshpur and almost in every subject we missed teachers.


But the teachers I got in Primary Pitambar Pant to DSB college in Nainital across disciplines tried their best to groom me.


Tara Chandra Tripathi is very very special who got me form Bengal Hotel into his family and always have been treating me as he treated his own children.


Forty one years passed and every time I feel the touch.He got me seeing the half yearly exam copies as he used to teach science group and I opted for arts.In fact I never joined his class but everything I learnt,I owe it to Mr.Tripathi.


Every day he sees everything I post.I am posting  something to prove his direct involvement with me as he shared every link of my posts even this evening!


It was not the age of tuition nor the it was purchasable education in the knowledge economy!

बनारस में 2012 में हेलमेट पहनना अनिवार्य किया गया था। कुछ लोगों ने इसके खिलाफ़ सविनय अवज्ञा आंदोलन छेड़ दिया। तर्क यह था कि हेलमेट लगे होने से पान थूकने में दिक्‍कत आती है। जैसे-जैसे तर्क ज़ोर पकड़ता गया, ट्रैफिक पुलिस की पकड़ कमज़ोर होती गई। आखिर में जनता की जीत हुई।

आज पता चला कि हेलमेट से अकेले बनारस में नहीं, गुजरात के राजकोट निवासियों को भी दिक्‍कत होती थी। बनारस में पान का तर्क था, लेकिन राजकोट के लोगों ने ऐसा कोई बहाना नहीं गिनवाया और सीधे हेलमेट पहनने से इनकार कर दिया। यह बात 2005 की है। कंपल्‍सरी हेलमेट लॉ तोड़ने के जुर्म में तीस लोग जेल गए। जब अदालत में पेश किया, तो लोगों ने गांधीजी की हिंद स्‍वराज से अपना बचाव किया। आखिरकार राजकोट की जनता की जीत हुई।

मुसलमान कोई भी ,  कैसा भी उपद्रव करें ---- बसे जला दें , कारे जला दें  ,  पुलिस स्टेशन जला दें , हिन्दू - लड़कियों से छेड़ -छाड़  करें , हिन्दू - लड़कियों का  बलात्कार करें , हिन्दू - लड़कियों की हत्याएं करे , उन से  धोके से विवाह करें , हिन्दुओं की हत्याएं करे , हिन्दुओं का बलपूर्वक धर्म परिवर्तन करें , भाँती भाँती के दंगे करें , हिन्दुओं पर तेज़ाब फेंकें , हिन्दू मूर्तियां तोड़े , हिन्दू मंदिरों में गंदगी फेंके ,  मॉस के टुकड़े फेंके ,  हिन्दू धर्म पर कटाक्ष करें आदि आदि उन पर ना ही पुलिस के  डंडे चलते हैं , न पानी की बौछाड़ होती है , ना गोलियां चलतीं हैं , न हत्याएं होती हैं , न कारावास होता है आदि आदि किन्तु पुलीस द्वारा हिन्दुओं पर सब अत्याचार होते हैं और जब मुसलमानों द्वारा हिन्दुओ पर अत्याचार हों तो  पुलीस तमाशबीन देखती रहती है ----- निहत्थे गुज़र जो शांति से प्रदर्शन कर रहे थे उन की पुलिस द्वारा ४० से अधिक की हत्याएं वसुंधरा के बी जे पी राज में हुईं , ऐसे हिन्दू विरोद्धी हिन्दू हिंदोस्थान पर राज कर रहे हैं -------------------------------------
हिन्दू यदि हल्का सा भी मुसलमानों पर या इस्लाम पर कटाक्ष कर दे तो मुसलमान उस पर फतवा लगा कर उस की ह्त्या कर देते हैं ------ तो आप ही बताइये  असहन शील हिन्दू हैं या मुसलमान ------- अनेक वर्षों से  ८० % हिन्दू , हिन्दू मंदिर सरकार से मुक्त नहीं करवा  सके ,  धारा ३७० हटवा नहीं सके ,  राम मंदिर निर्माण नहीं कर सके , ऐसे अनेक उदाहरण हैं ---- ८० % हिन्दू १२ % मुसलमानों से , ४% सिखों से , ४% ईसाईयों से दबे हुएं हैं , डरते रहते हैं   ------  तो आप ही बताइये  असहन शील हिन्दू हैं या मुसलमान ------- हर वर्ष हिन्दुओं की सख्या कम हो रही है , सिखो ,  ईसाइयो , मुसलमानो की सख्या बढ़ती जा रही है तो क्या यह विषय हिन्दुओं के लिए चिंता जनक नहीं ??? ---- हिन्दू ! आप कब जागो गें ??? ---- आप जागो गे या गाते रहो गे ---- हिन्दू मुस्लिम सिख ईसाई , आपस में हैं भाई भाई और ईश्वर अल्ला तेरो नाम , सब धर्म हैं एक सामान ------- ये सब गाते गाते अपने आप को मिटा दो गे ----- और सब कुछ  अहिन्दुओं का हो जाए गा और आप सदा के लिए समाप्त हो जाएं गें ----- चिंता करो , चिंतन करो , कर्म करो , जागो , जागो , जागो --------------------------------------------------
>  सरकार का यह कैसा नियम है ----- मुसलमान हिन्दू - धर्म पर , हिन्दुओं पर और
> हिन्दू - शास्त्रो पर कुछ भी लाछन लगाएं उन को  कोई भी दंड नहीं दिया जाता
> किन्तु उस के उत्तर में हिन्दू को कारावास दिया जाता  है ----- निर्दोष
>  हिन्दुओ को कारावास में यातनाएं दी जाती हैं जैसे साध्वी प्रज्ञा को आदि आदि ,
> मुसलमान पोलीस स्टेशनों को जलादें , निर्दोष लोगो की कारे जला दें ,  सरकार की
> बसे जला दें , आजाद मैदान की तोड़ - फोड़ कर  दें , मुसलमान  कुछ भी अनर्थ कर दें
> उन्हें कोई दंड नहीं किन्तु निर्दोष हिन्दुओं को दंड दिया जाता है ---- पोलिस
> की गोलिया हिन्दुओ पर चलती हैं मुसलमानों पर नहीं ,  पोलिस की पानी की बौछाड़
> हिन्दुओ पर मुसलमानों पर नहीं , पोलिस की गोलियों से हिन्दू  मारे जातें हैं
> मुसलमान कभी भी नहीं ----- मुसलमान  मौलवियो को सरकारी वेतन हिन्दुओ पंडितो को
> नहीं , मुसलमानो को हज के लिए पैसे हिन्दुओ को यात्राओ के लिए नहीं ; ऐसे अनेक

           We are following Democracy. Once elected (any how) the representatives (elected by us) form a Government and during election or prior to election mode, they want to ensure that they will not get defeated in the next election. They do anything for this assurance. They care neither for the other citizens nor the State or country as such. What can we do under such conditions. The minorities have been appeased so much since last 60 odd years that if it does not happen, people may feel something is wrong, is it not? In recent past our PM also has warned (his party men) not to criticize minorities (as read from news papers). What does it mean?
           As per GoogleSearch Definition of Politician is most selfish person. I am attaching it brought out from the source. We have all our representatives as mere politicians. Where are any leaders that Bhaarat in fact en-quires of all?

Because the case belongs to West Bengal, we have been hesitating to write on this to deliberately refrained from writing on the subject. There have been a charge against us for being anti-West Bengal. Now, a pretty straight-forward write-up in the public domain has come out, we felt we can now express our views on the subject. The lead editorial in "The Pioneer" of date January 9, 2016. refers, titled, "Mamata Plays With Fire", copy attached).
We are reproducing and highlighting some parts from the attached mail in order to share with you the thrust of the editorial.
 
·       The communal violence in West Bengal's Malda district needs to be viewed from two perspectives: Law and order, and electoral politics. In neither case does the ruling Trinamool Congress come across in favourable light, and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's statement that there is no "communal tension" in the State only makes it worse. On Sunday, the Anjuman Ahle Sunnatul Jamat's large rally, protesting Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha leader Kamlesh Tiwari's allegedly derogatory remarks, become violent — with gunfights, instances of arson and assault, and attacks on private and public property.
·       In terms of law enforcement, there is no justification for the Government's inability to control the situation. Police officials were overwhelmed when, in fact, they should have been expecting trouble. Communal tensions in West Bengal have been rising since the TMC came to power in 2011. The situation has been especially volatile in the State's Muslim-majority districts and divisions. Malda, where 51 per cent of the population is Muslim, is no exception. Moreover, the manner in which Sunday's incident erupted raises suspicions. For one, the issue at hand is stale and without local relevance — Mr Tiwari's controversial remark about Prophet Mohammed and homosexuality was made more than a month ago, in response to an equally absurd comment by Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan.
·       Add to this, the electoral arithmetic of the West Bengal Assembly election, which is scheduled for later this year, and the different pieces of the puzzle begin to fit in. Since coming to power with a historic mandate in 2011 that ended the Left's three-decade long stranglehold on West Bengal politics, the TMC has gone about consolidating power by all means, fair and foul — including polarising the votebank on communal lines. In this context, Malda will be an important test case: Alongwith neighbouring Murshidabad (where 66 per cent voters are Muslims), Malda has traditionally been a Congress stronghold. For many years, the Left tried but failed to take control. In 2011, the TMC won just one of the 12 Assembly seats in Malda, but this year hopes to win up to five, after defections from the Left and the Congress, including the high-profile move of Congress strongman Ghani Khan Chowdhury's brother.
 
Questions arise:
 
·       Have the IAS bureaucrats and the police set up surrendered themselves to the dirty tricks of politics? Conscience sold out?
·       Are not some persons from behind the scene fomenting the situation?
·       How could the State Chief Minister totally deny there was no communal tension in the State?
·       As one part of the editorial rightly raises the point "Second, the rally organiser, an otherwise little-known outfit, had ample resources to mobilise a large crowd. This would have not have been possible without the knowledge, if not the tacit support, of local Government authorities. Third, the fact that six of the nine rioters who were charged by the police were freed on bail within hours, even as the situation on the street remained tense, points to political patronage."
 
Well, the Union Home Minister was to visit Maldah on the 9th January. Some more engagin piece of work must have kept him away. That has been a pity. Was this not because of "crude politics working at the alter of communal amity". Well, Kendriya Griha Mantriji, it would be good if you visit the place in Maldah even at Dividends will follow.

कैसा हो नए साल का भारत

नए साल (2016) में सब कुछ अच्छा हो, यह आशा करते हुए भी, यह आवश्यक है कि हम गुज़रे साल की घटनाओं को याद करें, विशेषकर उन घटनाओं को, जिनका असर आने वाले समय में भी जारी रहेगा। पिछले साल हमने देखा कि भाजपा के नेतृत्व वाली एनडीए सरकार ने आरएसएस के हिंदू राष्ट्रवादी एजेंडे को लागू करने का हर संभव प्रयास किया। साध्वियों, साक्षीयों और योगियों के वक्तव्यों ने फिज़ा में अल्पसंख्यकों के खिलाफ घृणा घोली। चाहे मसला गौमांस का हो, लवजिहाद का या तर्कवाद का-इन तत्वों ने भारतीय प्रजातंत्र, भारतीय संविधान के सिद्धांतों और सामाजिक सद्भाव को गहरी चोट पहुंचाई। अल्पसंख्यकों में असुरक्षा का भाव बढ़ा और इसके अनेक कारणों में से कुछ थे योगी आदित्यनाथ के घृणा फैलाने वाले भाषण, गिरिराज सिंह का यह वक्तव्य कि जो लोग मोदी को वोट देना नहीं चाहते वे पाकिस्तान चले जाएं और हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री मनोहरलाल खट्टर की गौमांस खाने वालों को पाकिस्तान जाने की सलाह आदि। यह साफ है कि शासक दल, धार्मिक अल्पसंख्यकों के खिलाफ समाज में व्याप्त घृणा को ओर बढ़ाना चाहता है।

प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के नेतृत्व में, हिंदू राष्ट्रवादियों का कुरूप चेहरा तब सामने आया जब किरण मजूमदार शॉ, नारायणमूर्ति और रघुराम राजन के स्वर में स्वर मिलाते हुए, शाहरूख खान ने कहा कि समाज में असहिष्णुता बढ़ रही है। जब आमिर खान ने अपनी पत्नी किरण राव की यह आशंका सार्वजनिक की कि वे देश में स्वयं को असुरक्षित महसूस कर रही हैं, विशेषकर उनके पुत्र के संदर्भ में, तब पूरे देश में मानो बवाल मच गया। उनकी निंदा करने वाले बयानों की बाढ़ आ गई। जब शिष्टाचारवश शाहरूख खान ने अपने कथन के लिए क्षमा प्रार्थना की तो भाजपा महासचिव कैलाश विजयवर्गीय ने कहा कि (हिंदू) राष्ट्रवादियों ने नालायकों को सबक सिखा दिया है। यह घटनाक्रम, मोदी सरकार और संघ परिवार द्वारा देश में निर्मित वातावरण का नतीजा था। इसके समानांतर, लेखकों, कलाकारों, फिल्म निर्माताओं, वैज्ञानिकों और सामाजिक कार्यकर्ताओं द्वारा उनको मिले पुरस्कारों को लौटाने का सिलसिला जारी रहा। इसकी भी कड़ी निंदा की गई और पुरस्कार लौटाने वालों का मखौल बनाया गया। ऐसा करने वालों में तथाकथित कट्टर तत्व और सोशल मीडिया में सक्रिय उनके अनुयायी शामिल थे।

इस पृष्ठभूमि में, बिहार विधानसभा चुनाव के नतीजे हवा के एक ताज़ा झोंके की तरह आए। प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने इस चुनाव में विजय प्राप्त करने के लिए पूरा ज़ोर लगा दिया था। उन्होंने जाति और सांप्रदायिकता का कार्ड जमकर खेला। परंतु बिहार की जनता, जिसने कुछ वर्षों पहले आडवाणी के रथ को रोका था, उन मूल्यों को बचाने के लिए आगे आई जिन्हें देश ने स्वाधीनता आंदोलन के ज़रिए हासिल किया है। चुनाव नतीजों ने न केवल मोदी की घृणा की राजनीति के गुब्बारे की हवा निकाल दी बल्कि इससे अल्पसंख्यकों, और उन लोगों, जो उदारवादी और प्रजातांत्रिक मूल्यों की रक्षा के लिए संघर्ष कर रहे हैं, में एक नई आशा का संचार हुआ। इसके बाद पुरस्कार लौटाने का सिलसिला थम गया और घृणा फैलाने वाले लंबी छुट्टी पर चले गए।

बिहार के चुनाव नतीजों ने बहुवाद में आस्था रखने वाली शक्तियों को एक होने की प्रेरणा दी। यह प्रक्रिया चुनावी मैदान के साथ-साथ सामाजिक स्तर पर भी शुरू हुई और प्रतिबद्ध समूहों और व्यक्तियों ने ''आईडिया ऑफ इंडिया''की रक्षा के लिए मिलजुलकर अभियान चलाने की कोशिशें शुरू कीं। इसने समाज और विशेषकर बौद्धिक/सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता वर्ग को इस विषय पर आत्मचिंतन करने के लिए मजबूर किया कि उन शक्तियों से कैसे मुकाबला किया जाए जिन्होंने अल्पसंख्यकों का दानवीकरण और इतिहास को तोड़-मरोड़ कर देश में असहिष्णुता का वातावरण निर्मित कर दिया है। देश के बौद्धिक वर्ग को शनैः शनैः यह अहसास हो रहा है कि केवल चुनावों में भाजपा को पराजित करने से हम हमारे देश की प्रजातांत्रिक व्यवस्था की रक्षा नहीं कर सकेंगे। इसके लिए आवश्यक है कि हम सामाजिक स्तर पर भी कार्य करें और विभिन्न धार्मिक समुदायों के बीच एकता कायम करने के लिए, उसी तरह के मुद्दों को ढूढें, जिस तरह के मुद्दों का इस्तेमाल सांप्रदायिक ताकतों ने समाज को धर्म के आधार पर विभाजित करने के लिए किया है।

सन 2016 में विघटनकारी शक्तियां अपनी बेजा हरकतों से बाज़ आ जाएंगी, यह मानने का कोई कारण नहीं है। पिछले वर्ष हमने देखा कि हिंदुत्व की शक्तियों ने किस तरह दलितों और आदिवासियों को अपने झंडे तले लाने का प्रयास किया। सांप्रदायिक ताकतें, भारतीय संविधान के निर्माता डॉ. भीमराव बाबासाहेब अंबेडकर पर कब्ज़ा करने की कोशिश भी कर रही हैं। दलितों और आदिवासियों का एक बड़ा तबका और समाज के वंचित वर्गों की बेहतरी के लिए काम कर रहे कार्यकर्ता और बुद्धिजीवी, इस तथ्य से अनजान नहीं हैं और वे यह प्रयास कर रहे हैं कि हिंदू राष्ट्रवादियों को आंबेडकर की शिक्षाओं को तोड़ने मरोड़ने का अवसर न दिया जाए। आने वाला साल, धार्मिक अल्पसंख्यकों, दलितों, आदिवासियों और महिलाओं के लिए आशाओं से भरा है। उन्हें यह उम्मीद है कि समाज उनके साथ अधिक गरिमापूर्ण और मानवीय व्यवहार करेगा।

आर्थिक क्षेत्र में यह सरकार सामाजिक सुरक्षा व कल्याण की योजनाओं से अपना पल्ला झाड़ने की कोशिश कर रही है। इससे समाज के हाशिए पर पड़े तबकों की मूल आवश्यकताएं पूरी होने में बाधा आ रही है। ऐसे प्रयास किए जाने की जरूरत है कि भोजन का अधिकार, रोज़गार का अधिकार, सूचना का अधिकार, स्वास्थ्य का अधिकार व शिक्षा का अधिकार सभी को उपलब्ध हो सके। सामाजिक कार्यकर्ताओं को अपनी कमर कसकर ऐसे अभियान और आंदोलन चलाने चाहिए, जिनसे सरकार इन अधिकारों को देश के सभी नागरिकों को देने के लिए बाध्य हो जाए। सामाजिक आंदोलनों को ऐसे मंचों का निर्माण करना चाहिए, जहां से एकजुट होकर ये मुद्दे उठाए जाएं और समाज के कमज़ोर वर्गों के सशक्तिकरण की प्रक्रिया को गति दी जाए।

विघटनकारी राजनीति, अंततः, एकाधिकारवाद की ओर ले जाती है। 'महान नेता'के हाथों में शक्ति के केंद्रीयकरण को रोकने का एक प्रभावी तरीका यह है कि समाज के कमज़ोर वर्गों के अधिकारों की संरक्षा के लिए चलाए जा रहे अभियानों को और गहरा व व्यापक बनाया जाए। हमारी कोशिश यह होनी चाहिए कि इस नए वर्ष में हम देश की राजनीति की दिशा को बदलें। हमें मोदी सरकार द्वारा प्रायोजित विघटनकारी सांप्रदायिक और एकाधिकारवादी एजेंडे को नकारना है। यह सरकार, प्रतिगामी हिंदू राष्ट्रवाद का राजनैतिक मुखौटा है, जिसका उद्देश्य स्वाधीनता संग्राम के मूल्यों और हमारे संवैधानिक सिद्धांतों को कमज़ोर करना है। जहां एक ओर यह सरकार 'संविधान दिवस'मना रही है वहीं वह भारतीय संविधान को कमज़ोर करने के लिए हर संभव प्रयास भी कर रही है। हमें उम्मीद है कि 2016 में समावेशी राजनीति की जड़ें गहरी होंगी और वर्तमान सरकार की संकीर्ण राजनीति पर रोक लगेगी। आइए, हम यह प्रयास करें कि इस साल हम महात्मा गांधी की विचारधारा, अंबेडकर के मूल्यों और जवाहरलाल नेहरू के सिद्धांतों को मज़बूती दें। (मूल अंग्रेजी से हिन्दी रूपांतरण अमरीश हरदेनिया) (लेखक आई.आई.टी. मुंबई में पढ़ाते थे और सन् 2007 के नेशनल कम्यूनल हार्मोनी एवार्ड से सम्मानित हैं।)

आमिर खान की सभी फिल्में और लघु फिल्में सच्ची राष्ट्रभक्ति की प्रतीक हैं. दुख की बात यह है कि जिसे समाज की वास्तविक समस्याओं के निराकरण के प्रति प्रतिबद्ध और स्वस्थ मनोरंजन प्रस्तुत करने के लिए तमाम लोग देश के सर्वोच्च नागरिक सम्मान का वास्तविक हकदार मानते रहे हैं, उन्हें ये उग्र राष्ट्रवादी गद्दार घोषित करने में लगे हैं. 
वैसे भी मोदी कांग्रेस के सिब्बली दंभ, मुस्लिम पटाऊ नीति और बेलगाम भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ अपने जुम्लों से जनता को सम्मोहित कर सत्तासीन हुए हैं. एक साल के अन्दर ही इन जुम्लों की पोल खुलती जा रही है. आम चुनावों के बाद के अब तक के सारे चुनावों भा.ज.पा. की भद पिटी है. भा.ज.पा. देश में साम्प्रदायिक सद्भाव की कामना रखने वाले बहुत बड़े जन समूह की नजरों में गिरती चली जा रही है. आम आदमी की जिन्दगी दूभर होती जा रही है, अच्छे दिन का अर्थ और भी दुर्गति का पर्याय बनता जा रहा है. 
मुझे लगता है कि ये हिन्दू धर्म के ठेकेदार नहीं चाहते की मोदी को देश की सत्ता सम्भालने का एक और अवसर मिले.

बाबरी मस्जिद का विध्वंस भारतीय जन मानस को ऐसे मोड़ पर ले आया है, जहाँ से यह बिखराव न केवल जन सामान्य के लिए अपितु देश की आन्तरिक शान्ति और सुरक्षा के लिए एक बहुत बड़ी समस्या बन गया है. केन्द्र में भा.ज.पा के सत्तासीन होने के बाद, यदि भाजपाई नेताओं में विवेक होता तो साम्प्रदायिक सदभाव को जगाने का प्रयास कर, विगत तनातनी से उपजी इस खाई को कम कर सकते थे. पर सामान्य भाजपाई नेता ही नहीं केन्द्रीय मंत्रिमंडल के सदस्य भी हर तरह से अलगाव की इस खाई को और भी चौड़ा करने में लगे हैं.
सच तो यह है कि मोदी सरकार भी पिछली सरकारों की तरह आम जनता की आर्थिक समस्याओं का निवारण करने असफल रही है और केवल हिन्दुत्व के नारे के बल पर पुनर्जीवित होने की उम्मीद पाल रही है. जब भी इन नेताओं को लगता है कि जनता उनकी विफलता को समझने लगी है, कोई न कोई ऐसा शिगूफा छोड़ देती है जिससे साम्प्रदायिक ध्रुवीकरण को बल मिले और चुनाव से पहले दिखाये गये सब्जबागों से जनता का ध्यान हट जाय.
इन नेताओं को इस बात का आभास नहीं है कि उनकी सत्ता की जड़ें कांग्रेस के अहंकार और नाकामियों की भूमि पर टिकी है, और जिस प्रकार से वे देश में सामाजिक अलगाव के बीज बो रहे हैं, उनकी सत्ता का अवसान भी दूर नहीं है. दिल्ली और बिहार के चुनावों और अनेक उपचुनावों में एक के बाद एक पराजय इस बात का प्रमाण है हिन्दू जन मानस भी उनकी इस सामाजिक अलगाव पैदा करने वाली नीति को सिरे से नकारता जा रहा है.

मैं भारत माता की संतान हूं। अगर मेरी मां भारत माता नहीं है तो फिर कोई भारत माता नहीं है। फिर कोई मां पूजे जाने के लायक नहीं है। मैंने हमेशा भारत माता को अपनी माता समझा है और अपनी मां में भारत माता देखी है। क्या हम सभी सौ फीसदी माँ भारती की औलाद नहीं हैं ? सवाल मेरी मां का भी नहीं है। सवाल उन तमाम मांओं का है जिनके आगे बड़े बड़े नेता देवी कह कह कर गिड़गिड़ाते हैं और बाद में अपने वैचारिक समर्थकों से उन्हीं देवियो को किसी न किसी बहाने गाली पड़वाते हैं। गाली देने वाले की प्रोफाइल गलत हो सकती है मगर नकली नाम के पीछे किसी असली आदमी ने ही तो लिखा होगा। उसकी कुछ सोच होगी। वो किसी संगठन के लिए काम करता होगा। उसकी भलाई चाहता होगा। क्या उस संगठन में मांओं की यही इज़्ज़त है। अगर आप इस प्रवृत्ति को अब भी नहीं समझे और सतर्क नहीं हुए तो बहुत देर हो जाएगी। आखिर कौन लोग हैं जो पिछले कुछ दिनों धड़ाधड़ गालियां दिये जा रहे हैं।

    Aishwarya Rai addresses Rekha as maa at Stardust awards

    On receiving her award, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan graciously thanked everyone and turned towards Rekha and folded her hands in namaste and said, "It's great to receive it from Maa. It means so much."

    Aishwarya, who addresses her father-in-law as Paa, was on stage to receive the Power Packed Performer Award for impressive comeback in Jazbaa. Handing her the trophy was Rekha. As soon as Aishwarya reached the stage, she bent down to touch Rekha's feet. After blessing her, Rekha hugged Aishwarya and handed her the award and said, "I am honoured to give her the award and I hope I can give it to you for many more years."

    On receiving her award, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan graciously thanked everyone and turned towards Rekha and folded her hands in namaste and said, "It's great to receive it from Maa. It means so much."

    As a stunned audience looked on, Amitabh Bachchan, who was seated in the audience looked cool and composed. Aishwarya also dedicated the award to her darling daughter Aaradhya and said the award is a symbol of celebrating motherhood.

    While Amitabh and Rekha have rarely acknowledged each other on public platforms, the former's spouse Jaya was seen hugging and greeting the later at Star Screen awards. Both Jaya and Rekha were also  seen seated next to each other.

    PROTEST AGAINST SCRAPPING OF NON NET FELLOWSHIPS!!!

    FIGHT AGAINST FUND CUTS !!!

    FIGHT AGAINST PRIVATIZATION OF HIGHER EDUCATION!!!

    13th January, 2:00pm

    It will be now 85 days since we began our agitation against UGC after it scrapped the Non NET Fellowships for the M.phil/Phd students. Soon the matter was transferred to the MHRD and since then even after several demonstrations at MHRD and our continued occupation at the UGC premises, there has been no response from the ministry and no effort to involve students in the further decision making process has been undertaken.

    During our struggle we have raised questions against fund cuts, privatization, commercialization of education and the attempts of State to maintain Brahmanical hegemony over the educational institutions. The state has responded with violence and lathi charged on us many a times, threw water cannons and tear gas on us and tried to silent us with all the force that it could deploy. But ‪#‎OccupyUGC continues.

    The ministry was supposed to give a final decision regarding the Non-Net Fellowships by mid December. However, even when it is mid - January we have no word from UGC or MHRD regarding what is the final status of non net fellowships... The MHRD minister Smriti Irani has denied us appointment and no decision has been communicated to us.

    Responding to this inaction/negligence/indecision by the MHRD we will again resume our agitation at the MHRD gates on the 13th of January at 2:00pm asking the minister to provide answers to our questions! We are determined to continue our protest till our demands are met and in no way are we interested in playing hide and seek with the ministry.

    Our Demands are:

    ·         Restore, Increase, Expand Non – Net Fellowships – No Merit /Income criteria- based exclusion. Research Students in state universities to be included under the Non - Net Fellowship.

    ·         Increase the amount of Fellowship from 5,000 to 8,000 for M.Phil students and 8,000 to 12,000 for Phd students.

    ·         Halt the process of fund cut in Education- spend 10% of the budget in education.

    We assert that the MHRD minister should meet with the students of #OccupyUGC and publicly announce the status of non net fellowships to everyone as soon as possible!

    We appeal to all democratic, progressive organizations and individuals to participate in the protest at MHRD tomorrow and express solidarity with our struggle and take forward the fight against privatization of higher education.
